I used to use a Futaba ff6 plane/heli tx with my rc cars , you soon get used to having no throttle return . I found it really handy breaking in Nitro motors as you can set the throttle an have the car running circles or fig 8's for hours one handed lol . The extra channels for scalers are big plus too .

True it has.... We've been waiting a long time for sure... For me it's allowed me time to consider the decision and I'm happy to be buying 1. Still excited of course. It could turn out to be the wrong decision but I'm prepared for that. Who dares wins rodders , who dares wins !

I think it is tbh ,the op mentioned it , them another guy piped up abt it , he called traxxas and they said send the esc back an that's that from what I can gather . More Guff lol .

I'm sure traxxas sales in europe are small fry for them , hence the million pages here on this forum without sight of one in the UK , I know ms had one for 2 mins lol .

Even if they've only sold 5000 over there, the breakage reports on the traxxas forum are a drop in the ocean !

Theres a guy on the traxxas site who says only 10% of X owners even know the traxxas forum exists , so that's 10% of the supposed 10,000 sold , people only post when #### hits the fan , all these guys push their trucks to the limits for shooting the best vids for the most amount of likes etc , so sure they'll be a few looking sorry for themselves , I'd love to know the % of trucks that are running well by the guys not looking for forum stardom, I'm sure there were a couple guys determined to break it as well to test traxxas to see how they handle the failings of the Thing . I'm still up for one when I can , I'll buy new an pray the esc holds out or they update the filmware for it or I'll just go with a max 5 esc or xl2 (i don't do water and rc just not worth it ! ) Still looking forward to some proper first hand experience of the things from our boys here an I wish you all the very best with em [emoji2]

Had me confused with the mention of brushed system. 'X' is obviously BL. You were talking about another truck. What I've seen in higher power brushed systems is they tend to have more power from the off than an equivalent power BL, which comes into its own once its started turning - bit like a turbo vs a vtec - 'though closer. Mentioning HPI, is this 'Super Savage' going to be yet another reincarnation of the Savage, or a new design - anyone with any details? Al.
