I fitted a new 2 part air filter..re oiled my shocks...fitted a new one way bearing...changed all the E clip shafts to nylock nut and bolts...fitted the new upgraded battery tray....made and fitted some cooling fin protectors out of fuel line...fitted new fuel line and filter all on my Hyper 7

what grade shock oil would be best to buy I run the hyper off road doing jumps on ruff ground and today I noticed the front shocks are basically not returning so just wondering what grade oil would be best to use.

Thanks a lot i have another question I am looking at getting the Savox SW0231MG servo can these be used for throttle and brake or just the steering? also I am looking at getting a lipo for the car has anyone got any ideas on which I could use...the thing is I am thinking of getting the newer concealed battery and receiver tray so I would need one that would fit inside it...Thanks a lot guys

I seem to have found another issue the HSN it coming loose I noticed when I primed it fuel was leaking out of the side of the black screw then it started to vibrate out...is there a fix for this or has seal gone or something?

Hi I have put new zip ties on the air filter so I am guessing it s the LSN then is it worth upgrading to the two stage filter?

Right first id like to thank you guys for your help as I am nearly there with my Hyper...I have got it running sweet at the top end...the only issue I have got now is struggling at the low end...at the start as it was ticking over it would nearly poor fuel through the exhaust...im not kidding 5min max on tick over and the tank would be empty now I can safely say its ticking over nicely on a warm engine...the thing is it will start to rev high after running it and I have to blip the throttle a couple of times before it settles back down...the carb slide is going all the way back in when I release the throttle so I am stumped as it why one min the idle is great then all of a sudden it revs up and tries to run away.

Here is an update it looks like I have sorted the high end it smokes a little on take off with a fine trail behind for about 6ft sounds sweet although I have not got the experience to know what one should really sound like ...the problem that's occurring now is one minute it will ide nicely ticking over sweet then if you move it say 3 ft and stop it will rev out like hell sometimes when I have done several full throttle passes it will do it again engaging the clutch if I lift it off the floor this part is really annoying...it has a exhaust extension on it which I have found a pain as on rough ground or long grass it folds and kinks...is this required at all I don't see the point in it to be honest?

SirusDviruS My Hyper looks like the one on your profile pic it has black disc wheels, a black rear fender, black engine cooling fins, same white yellow and black skin with grey springs on the shockers fairly fat, any idea what model it is it has savox servos and a chrome pipe :-)

I have tried to upload one in the gallery but it wont work page keeps freezing my pc is pretty pants thou :-(

papasmurf Them links are great iv printed them off to keep with my rc thanks...I don't even know what model my Hyper is I wish I knew is there any way I can tell?

Thanks a lot guys this is my first forum and I must say I am impressed with the quick and helpful responses...I will set the car to factory setting and try it out tomorrow and keep you informed....I have checked my Hyper and the master needle was turned in from flush quite a way and the low end needle was sticking out from the dome quite a way to....any idea on how long a tank of fuel should last on general running around the garden? If any of you have a useful youtube channel id be happy to subscribe !!!

papasmurf that's helped a lot iv been told and read I should never to touch the mid end screw that has been set at the factory

So just to clarify the HSN which needle nooby talk is that the one in the silver casing above the fuel pipe? LSN needle is that the one under the fuel pipe? Mid range is that the one facing the servos?

Thanks for your help its a Hyper 21 3 port engine with the black cooling fins....im totally new to rc but how long would a average tank of fuel last just bashing around the garden? 1 point I must mention I was told if you nip the fuel line just before the carb it should stop within 3 sec...mine does not I gave up waiting and put my thumb on the exhaust..lol

Hi firstly sorry for asking this if its been asked before but I have not seen this question yet...I have just got my first Nitro Rc a pre owned Hyper 7 it looks like it has done next to nothing, very clean and tidy, the issue I am having is its has a very random idle one minute it is idling nicely the next it sounds like it is going to blow up engaging the clutch and I don't know if any one has been messing about with the screws, it gets through a lot of fuel and at one point was spitting it out the exhaust...I have checked the idle screw and the slider is only open about 1 mm when in idle....so I was wondering if anyone has any idea how to solve this or if there is any way of getting the three carb screw you use anywhere near factory setting before tweaking them ie screw all the way in than back off a certain amount of times....any help would be greatly received before I incur heaving model shop bills.
