  1. Make some calls to some shops that stock the cr3p if ur after parts,or use like I do the battery I've given u info on already.dont be so lazy.
  2. Hi all, well after couple extra hours setup and back up to 15tp it stonked everything at herts on the wknd, well on the straights anyway lol.It was hard at first coming from nitro to lecky as the power really needs taming as I found my self over jumping and missing the apex and mostly being crap. But it clicked in the end and love it,found myself keeping up or beating guys that have raced there for donkeys with the best stuff money money can buy that I just couldn't keep with when nitro.lecky with Enough batts and at least a two 100watt chargers is the way forward :-)
  3. No link but its a 6v 6cell 800mah graupner rx pack,little green battery.
  4. I use a small flat 1000mah 6v rx battery in mine, lasts for ever.been fine on the higher voltage also.lee
  5. Guys my timming was set to 7.5degs number 2 out of 10/11 settings.ive read turning timming to low can harm the motor as well as wacking it up causing heat.im yet to test it but I've gone to level 5 15degs actually base esc setting but seems a lot more timming.am I right in thinking timming is only going to add rpm.I think it needs a tad more top end for herts long straight so hope so.Also if I add more punch does this lower the motor running point sort of lower down the rev rang.need a lot of trigger to get into the power range.might have to play with the neutral rang come to think about it lol.cheers all
  6. Well I stuck a 14tp and it's just the ticket.Had do drill the grub screw out the pinion, not happy.think I can start turning up the punch and timming now as both the motor and esc are cool at 100f ish after trying to get it hot as poss.
  7. Cheers guys, ill wack a 15 and go from there as I've got 13-18 in the box.gonna deff need some new keys coz then grub screw is thread locked to hell and I can see its gonna be trouble.my old turnigy amp/watt meter I used to choose props for my 3d planes would help as it stores max amp and watts ect.i thought like a plane once moving or unloading both amps/watts would drop and being on a less grippy surface would also do the same, but you say when wheel spinning it actually spikes both amps/watts.lecky is deff the way forward anyhow, I just can't see any big dollar 21 motor beating it.i have had loads of rb,os,nova ect and its ballistic in lecky form also a lot more nimble.
  8. How many amps does dropping or upping a tooth on the pinion add or drop in most cases roughly?shame it gives a great mid range punch feel on the 16t.
  9. Hi guys, converted my rc8.2 ft to electric with a trackstar 2350kv motor and a hobbywing sc8 120esc,46/16 gearing running on 30c 5000 4cell batts. It gets off the line faster and more top end than my mates castle creations setup.Ive read these motors do run a little hot so I've turned the timing down and also the punch.Ive run it on grass with 13/46 and only got warm but with the 16/46 running on grippy Tarmac motor gets to 140/150f which I've read is max heat you want.love the way the car drives with the 16pinion and really don't want to change it tbh so my question is as I only race at herts track that is dusty and slipper most of the way round that this surface would keep the amps a little lower as won't be gripping anywhere near as much than on the tarmac.cheers lee
  10. Ok guys so I bought 14/15/16/17/18 pinions.Ive found people run very diff gearing from car to car e.g guy on hobbykings uk website on the motor I bought page runs a 20t pinion on the same 46spure I've got but it must get hot surely and only 20c batts but in the vid looks like it flies tbh.others who run around the 2300kv motor in a mugen mbx 5 conversion so same three diffs as I'm running on only a 13 tooth pinion but again looks fast.need to find a calculator that I can actually fill in all my info to lol
  11. Hi guys,15mins would be perfect tbh as never thought even 10min was possible.think I'm gonna try 16/17/18 pinions first and go from there.im I right in thinking bigger the pinion the more top end plus lower runtime and more amps, smaller the better startup and less amps and longer runtime?loads to program the motor with also timing?drag brake?startup lol.help
  12. Hi all, well converted my rc8.2 from nitro to lecky.Problem I have is I run all mugen mbx5 diffs so I've no clue on gearing.Ive gone for a trackstar 2350 kv motor and the centre diff is 46 tooth and running on 4cell.Car will only be used at hurts rc track so no need for crazy top end.Looking for low temps, loads of low end punch and good run times guys.what pinion size do you guys suggest. Also went for 30c 5000mha batts but how long do you think I would get roughly on a charge.cheers all
  13. Found a tenshock sc401 4600kv in uk and read they are a really smooth motor. Then model sport do 120amp hobbywing esc that look a good deal for the money.seems most run a 14 tooth pinion setup on the losi.lee
  14. Hi all,yep the sensered option looks good tbh.kv is bloody high is that because I want to keep it 2cell?also you think I can get that in the uk?anyone ordered from these guys before and if so how long did it take to get to uk.lee
  15. Hi all, buying a losi scte 2.0 and looking for the best 2cell setup with in my budget of
