So I'm looking to get my first short course truck and was looking at the Traxxas slash but I'm unsure what to get as I've done a bit of research and they can range between £200 - £500 and can't seem to find a lot of difference. Can anyone that's owned a slash point me in the right direction at what is better 2wd/4wd etc? Thanks in advance.

The steering servos twitching, at first I thought it was the servo but the throttle is the same and sometimes gets stuck on full throttle. So is there a chance that both servos has had it or could it be a dodgy receiver? (The receiver is brand new I brought it about a week ago) Thanks.

I think I may of found the problem. So I've taken the engine apart to clean and it all seems fine then I came to the carburetor, I took it apart to clean and I unscrewed the two screws (I'm not sure what there for) and one of them practically just fell out and I went to put it all back together and I could not screw that screw back in so I looked at the thread and well there isn't one! Could this be the problem? I'm thinking because it was lose, could be letting to much air into the engine?

I'm interested in Lot 4 but you say you got them with a Tmaxx but are they for a Tmaxx?

I haven't got an ez start, got a pull start.

Yeah the glow plugs fine I've even tried a new one just to make sure. Could it be the glow starter? As it came with the truck second hand. Maybe it's not getting hot enough. Will be ordering a new one soon.

I've been very busy so I've only just had another go at my tmaxx! its no longer flooded but still won't start anymore suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Sorry i haven't updated for a while he's taking his time. The tires are actually dog toys as he couldn't find tires that were the right size. He's in the process of making the top and my dads sowing skills aren't the best so may take a while, I will post a pic of what he's done in a bit.

Sorry I havent updated for a while been busy. There's been a few minor details added he's just making the rag top and then will be finished. And the next job is to make a trailer for it for my tt01 drift car to go on [emoji4]

Nice one, cheers. We wasn't sure what it was as a mate gave it to him years ago so I did a bit of research to find out what it was and it looks pretty much like a bruiser. So what's the difference between the bruiser and the hilux?

The bonnet and tailgate opens, it'll have working lights and a soft top when he gets round to making it.

Here it is. The body is all hand made, made of aluminum and he's even got a driver! Should be finished in the next couple days.

Thanks guys, he's also making his own land rover shell and the original tyres are a bit to small, can you recommend a set of chunkier tyres that will fit the original wheels? He wants a spare for the spare wheel on the bonnet so will he have to buy two sets of 4 or can you buy them in sets of two? Cheers. (I will upload some pics when he's finished)

Im posting on behalf of my dad as he dosnt do Internet haha. He has a tamiya bruiser which he's had for years and he's in the process of getting it back on the road and a bit more up to date. Is there anyone that could recommend a esc that will work with the original motor? Thanks.

Bash really. I would like the electronics to be included but if I find one that I like the look of with no electronics I don't mind splashing out a bit more.
