Hi all, I'm pretty new to RC's although I been a pretty silent member since 2014 lol as I have previously owned a Nitro Truggy about 5 years ago which tbh I found a bit fiddly to setup (tuning etc) so I never really went anywhere with it. Anyway, fast forward 5 years or so and I've just bought an electric RC an FTX Bugsta 4WD Brushless 1/10th for my 14 year old son to try and entice him out of his bedroom (from his consoles etc)lol It's due to be delivered this afternoon so I'm a little excited! So, with that in mind I've been looking at maybe getting one for myself too (I've not told the wife yet lol) and liking the appeal of the brushless electric RCs. I would probably be looking to spend somewhere in the £400-500 region. I have to be honest I would rather buy a brand new one but happy to get one that maybe wouldn't include the controller and maybe that would mean I'd get a better RC for the initial spend? I'd ideally like a 1:8 but tbh my son's will be 1:10 and I might be happy with that size, it's just the nitro I had was a 1:8 and I liked the size. I would mainly be using for having some fun around the woods/rough grounds and local playing fields (with my son hopefully). Also something I would be able to upgrade fairly easily if I "got into" the hobby more. Anyway sorry for the long post and thanks for reading!

They look good, I've just ordered some fastrax ones with the bend in them but tempted to get some of these. Will see how ft's go first.

Apart from the fastrax ones evssv mentioned there are no "miracle" clips then? lol

Not had much time to take RC out since running it in but did manage an hour yesterday and had great fun but lost 3 of the 4 body shell clips. I thought they would have stayed in a bit longer! Are there any tips on better ones to buy or is losing them a common thing?

Hi all, has anyone cut a hole in the windscreen area of their ST? I was wondering if it's worth doing to help cool the engine or not?

Anyone use a bag to transport they're ST around in?

What other makes of fuel are good? I got a litre of byrons with mine but there's none available locally to me. Sent using only the power of my mind

Put some silver foil in to make the contact tight as a temp repair until you get a new one? Sent using only the power of my mind

Put another 2 tanks of fuel through the ST out the front today. Seems to be running Ok, I couldn't video it as I was on my own. That's 4 tanks in total now. Does seem to be getting better (not stalling and not revving too high, maybe it was me just not used to the high revs). Sent using only the power of my mind

No wheels don't spin at all unless I open throttle up. I'll have to get another video up and you can have a look. It's a shame that there's no club near where I live for me to take it to and have someone's live opinion so to speak! Sent using only the power of my mind
