Ok guys, ever since its been built i seem to have way too much camber on the front wheels. I built it to instructions as regards the suggested length of the turnbuckles in mm. After breaking in the engine on roads may i add i had a brainwave, though i'll adjust the angle of lean by lengthening the arms. Looked right, thought cracked it. Went for a little bash only for the drive shafts to jump out of the cups where the shafts were now too short.
So i went back to my original setting. Went bashing yesterday and it aint right.
I'll try and upload some piccies
Anyone who's built and run an ST PRO please pm me. I built mine just under a year ago now and although it appears to run fine i still think ive done something wrong
Thanks guys
Thats the one thing about this hobby i don't get. You spend out your hard saved cash to buy the best you can afford to turn around and try and smash it to bits!!! Abit of a contradiction really
I clicked on the above "posted image" thinking it was going to be a photo on how the build was going. To my horror they all took me to Nitrotek website!!!. Came out in a cold sweat having dealt with that awful business.
Can't believe they have the nerve to try and infiltrate the Forum and GS racing themselves sell the cheap chinese import crap
If its running fine, why should it need tuning in? Should have been ready to run i would have thought. At least start anyway.
Right what engine is fitted?
Seeing as you have bought it second hand, do you know if the needle settings are correct? Do you know the person you bought it from and was it running ok?
Also, did they supply the fuel? how old is it
Don't think you should be messing with the LSN when trying to start it. Set the LSN to factory settings and only touch this needle when tuning. In actual fact if the needles are set at factory settings and you are trying to get the thing going from new none of the needles should really need tinkering with
A new engine bud. solve all your problems. I had the same engine in an Acme Condor. Absolute pants! Same probs as you, when i eventually got it going, which took some effort, it ran then died, and then ran very sporadically. I got rid
I too have had dealings with nitrotek. Sincerely wish i hadn't. Its a very strange set up. Other than sales, there is no direct one to one contact at all. Any customer service query has to be dealt with via e mail. Its very annoying.
I too, once upon a time wanted parts and they were out of stock for ages. I just gave up and bought myself a decent truggy. I was totally new to RC when i dealt with them. i just wish i'd known about this forum and Modelsport at the time. So much good advice and help available on here
Sorry mate, but im a bit confused now. Aren't you the guy that started a thread about fitting a new engine to your Acme condor and everyone give you more or less the same advice. Get rid!! Cos it was throwing good money after bad and you said money was no object and you were going to engineer this and that. Then you said it was running like the proverbial "**** off a shovel".
Now you're saying you sent it back to nitrotek and they've sent you another one!!?? And you have totally screwed the other one up ?
You don't really know what you want do you? And i smell bull**** tbh
Hiya Fletch, yes i am. Found a pretty good spot next to Pontins holiday park in Prestatyn. Next to the golf course. Weather is so crap at the mo but want to get out when i can
