  1. I'll get video ASAP, probs be out with it tonight, as i need to tweak the two speed and may give the low speed a bit of a lean out so its got a bit more go off the mark. But with transmission in mind and that engine i might keep it as it is. Its rapid enough for me, i couldn't believe how fast it was compared to my rascal and its sheer off roading capabilities.
  2. Its part of the truckzilla .46 kit, you get the huge wheels and those tyres plus the extended chassis among a few other things.
  3. Got my savvy today and run it in and had a play and i have to say, i love it. The big wheels are staying on as they give it a bit of extra height to get over the rough stuff. And it still beats a 4.6 savvy with them on anyway. Engine ran in nicely with no problems (apart from a small roll which took half of the top fin off lol) i've leaned out the high speed and it accelerates brilliantly but without flipping and the gear change is near perfect from the factory which was a suprise. Personally i think the engine can be pushed a lot further, as its hardly hot, and i'm not suprised either, its bloody massive. I also think the extended chassis help it handle a bit better and stops it from going head over tail when breaking and wheelying. Pics to follow
  4. like the original jato the 3.3 is also like your savage uncontrollable on corners because it has too much power. I would get a buggy tbh, as they handle the power better
  5. my mates did this, it never changed. We took out the spring and stretched it and messed about with it, it now works fine
  6. yea, well its easier to use a normal glowstarter, but i'm good at improvising and fixing things, so bodged glowstarter it is
  7. probably not, i didn't think there would be enough need for 2. better to be safe tho looks cool with all the CF too
  8. whatever you reckon, i don't think it will make much difference, have a trial period with each and see how it goes.
  9. why have 2 fuel filters, all your doing is restricting the flow of fuel to the carb.
  10. i wouldn't oil them, the oil will just spray off unless you put loads in the bottom and have splash lubrication which isn't really a good idea. grease would be a much better idea, or you could use chain lube as that is designed to stick rather than fling off, TBH i wouldn't bother with much, for the amount they are run they arn't gonna wear.
  11. been pants, hopefully getting my truckzilla savvy tomorra so it better be a good day. or i may cry.
  12. well all know the high torque one isn't really that brilliant anyway tho.
  13. but a 6 cell pack has 3 sets of 2 cells. so technically 6x 2000mah >4500mah lol did you not read my post at all
  14. Ziggy 2x1.2v cells (only use 2 at a time)= 2.4v it will shorten the life of glow plugs probably, but glow plugs are cheaper than glow starters starts up lovely though i would use 1 cell but it didn't seem to work that well.
  15. you get both the race one being faster? so that may be best for throttle, although the high torque one may be better for the brake, but due to the leverage on the brake anyway i doubt it would make much difference, if it makes any
  16. SIN has one of those glow starters but i've never got round to buying one. I use a broken one i got with my rascal, with 2 leads connected to it, and i just use a 2000Mah 6 cell ni-cad to power it (2 cells at a time) now that lasts forever lol

obviously i've never bothered with a personal transponder, especially when they lend you one for free, although theres a possibility to get the wrong one or start without it, as i've done before.

Transponders use the third channel slot on the Rx for power, but you could power it any way really. e.g. electric cars you can plug then into the battery slot on the Rx as they don't need to be powered by a battery pack. I have the DX3 (the newer of the versions) and i love it, absolute top piece of kit.
  19. well i've charged 8x 1.2V AA's in series with a 7.2V charger that i use on 6 cell packs for my car, and that worked fine.
  20. what you running it on... ....35%?
  21. everyone acts like a cock at some point
  22. Bought my mini many many moons ago, it had been melted by some idiot who put a 10 turn in it or something daft, chassis was replaced and all bushes replaced with bearings. shell is way past battered and the chequered roof is made out of leccy tape http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/uploads/116648...26_2_328184.jpg
  23. Mission is now on ebay if anybody wants a bargain tourer.
