  1. Greetings all. Couldn't find anything specific in the search bar So (Back off!!! any moody people) I've just stripped and rebuilt all my diff's / bearings and so on. Just got it back together and my drive seems to be reversed now?? just wondering why this might happen? Have I put one or both of the front/ rear diff's in a reversed position from when I took them out? Also have I just answered my own question?
  2. That reminds me, I still need a program card.
  3. Yes I've often wondered what's special about the spider diffs. They do look fancy. But cnc chassis braces probably should be next on my list. Or cnc rear uprights.
  4. Lol.....no it's my own scientific hypothesis. 14t is a good starting point I reckon. See how see goes on temps and so on. I'm sure the speed bug will get you anyway. So would have a guess you'll be on 18t or more soon enough. Do we all have temp guns yet?
  5. Yay! Got my new grub screws for my centre uv shafts. As the first set I accidentally got the smaller size. Tho luckily there the same size as the diff grubs, so no loss there.
  6. Looks nice mate. Do I spy that you have plastic chassis braces too? One day I might get round to putting cnc ones in lol. Between you and me the plastic ones are probably better as they allow a little flex.
  7. I think I'm scarred for life. My eyes Please kill meeee.
  8. You'll never guess what I've just seen out my window.
  9. I've always done it like this. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=G4TIMyAHrD8
  10. Just a couple of turns of insulation tape should be fine. Also don't forget to make sure the motor is spinning up the correct way. It fairly easy just remove your pinion. Plug her up and listen to the sound of the motor. Obviously you should be able to hear that full forward on the Rx the motor will spin at full speed and full reverse will only give about half throttle.
  11. Nothing as exciting as the above posts. But a handy Hong-Nor screw bag is always handy.
  12. Looking good there George. Have you had her powered up yet? Are you going to insulate those motor/esc connectors? you wouldn't want them to arc on each other.
  13. Very nice and that's an awesome price. If only I had that kind of money spare. I know where it would be going.
  14. Yes new drive shaft required here too. Well I say that, it has drive cups and dog bones at the mo. But I lost the rear drive cup and bearing. So am replacing with the proper uv-shafts and am hoping the new UV-centre shafts I've got will be as strong as the non stock dog bones & cups?
  15. Yep heard the same thing so planning on getting a 5s when funds allow. 6s is great fun tho if you get the gearing right and are careful on the throttle. Also toying with the idea of putting the esc over front above the front drive shaft. To help with balance and front end weight.
  16. I've been getting them from http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B001QU1R3M?cache=582038ba51ba12bb5cd27c9ca6e938f9&qid=1402178702&sr=8-3#ref=mp_s_a_1_3
  17. Yeh I've had my eye on couple of X1-CRT's but can't fund one at the moment. Might look for one closer to Christmas for my boy. I can do the shock towers for
  18. Nice.. A fellow LX2E body user. It's odd to see the steering servo upright tho. Mine is laying down. Also I've got some spare shock turrets if you wanted to double them up. It's a cheap alternative to new cnc shock towers. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  19. Err yeah, isn't it always? lol More power!!
  20. Although they do indeed exist. So I could be wrong. Lol
  21. I believe gavin28 is correct. Not only probably not powerful enough. But will likely snap the shaft or ruin the motor bearings.
