  1. Ok. Let's all just hug and make up. I've found a ok looking track at the back of the plough pub in leigh. Looks quite good and it's always good to have nice pub close buy. I've got the guy's number but just need to get round to contacting him. Check it out on Google earth.
  2. Good man Wils, you just reminded me I need to take my chisels to work for sharpening. I've been looking whilst trying to learn guitar but not much further yet. Although that should change soon. Also managed to get my self a little 10L air compressor from work. So that will help for all kinds of blowing out dust & dirt from the car, multiple air tools and the obligatory mini spray gun for when the body is done.
  3. Yeah too be fair I'm a bit busy fitting new sub frame bushes to my 1/1 car. + it's the wife's birthday tomorrow. So all that combined + random showers. Is not helping lol.
  4. Grrrrr. Not good weekend weather for Rc. Feels like forever since I've had my buggy out.
  5. I had 42mph on 4s, so as not much slower. And as you say it's probably due to the kv level. Back from ibiza tomorrow so am looking forward to having a few speed runs weather permitting.
  6. That's a bit bit better isn't it. Now you just need a 16t.
  7. Re-belted tyre's Re-glued tyre's. Charged lipo. Then it rained hard. Ho hum..
  8. There is a couple of suitable words for that (fill in as necessary. F. .., B....., W......, & A.. - Biscuits! !
  9. Oh no!! Surely it can't have gone far? When ever mine did come of It just dropped off the shaft and was always laying on the chassis.
  10. I have had. Just a bit of blue locktite soon sorts that out tho.
  11. Yeh it's going ok but slowly I'm afraid. I don't get a great deal of time on it at work at the moment. But the basic shape is there as you've seen from the pic's. And I am now carefully staring to carve the curves into it.
  12. Absolutely. I've heard good things about the Alturns and the prices certainly are favorable.
  13. Ebay bargain again here. Scanner SSV-9764MG - High Torque Servo. Did have an old futaba 3003 when I got it but could hardly turn the wheels at stand still and it had no hope when I was running the Nanda blocks. Savox seems to be the most popular choice tho.
  14. I know it's amazing how slow they are really. Back when I had my tamiya falcon in the late 80s. I thought it was very fast. How wrong I was.
  15. Yes it will reduce acceleration but not lots. And as you get it going faster bigger lipo, esc, and so on you will probably need to loose some acceleration as it will just be spinning all 4 tyre's anyway. I'm no expert in this area but as I see it. More cells will give a bigger burst of amp's. As in the motor will be able to pull more through the esc hence higher speeds. The c rating or mAh essentially is the run time of the lipo in my view. 3000 mAh - may give you 6 - 9 min. 5000mAh 12 - 15min. Not long ago I saw a 5s 8000mah lipo on ebay at a good price
  16. Yeah thought about it Tom, but would like to top out with the existing set up to be honest. As it is, it's shredding tyre's ( Although that's probably down to my cheap used tyre purchases & some dodgy workmanship strapping and gluing them lol) and the temps are about as high as I would want to go for now. Once I've gone flat out with it I may well look into a new motor. As the Hpi scream is not really supposed to have 6s going through it. It's done a sterling job so far tho for
  17. Yep, I reckon with a 16t low 30s, 18t mid 30s 21t mid to high 30s maybe 40 if your lucky. The motor to will heat up more but being a low kv should be perfectly reasonable.
  18. 1 extra tooth will only give about 2 to 3 mph difference. A 5s or 6s will bring your motor alive tho. 1900kv motors are great but require more amp's as they pack more torque's and therefore are harder to turn. That will require an esc change tho.
  19. All Hong Nor are welcome here fella. Certainly looks like the LX 1 ultra. Interesting how the front body post is further forwards than the X1-CR. I shall download the pdf manual and see how similar it is. Funny thing is I'm planning on moving my body post roughly to that location to allow my home made body to fit. better.
  20. Well I've got no problem running 21t pinion on mine and could probably go upto 24t. But I am still having issues with my tyre's. I wish there was somewhere that did belted buggy tyres. One set of rear tyre's that I had done with plaster board tape and shoe goo seemed to work well. But the fronts that I tried taping, failed almost instantly and started ripping my body apart it's very time consuming trying to get these tyre to stay put.
  21. I think on 4s I was getting between 40 - 43mph. On 3s 34 - 36mph
  22. Oh ...It don't want to show the video. Give me a mo... Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
