  2. Thanks bud, I Realised I had positioned it incorrectly, so re drilled the mounting holes on the bottom and shifted it forward 20mm. The original bumper now screws into the new o e just nicely.
  3. Had to stop for Chinese takeaway!! Its bolted securely through the bottom, Needs a bit of trimming and final shaping to finish off But as a first attempt, im quite happy. Im pretty sure I could get the next one a bit neater, now that I have used this one to test materials and dimension adjustment due to thickness of the plastic, the card was wayy thinner Thoughts on mounting the top of it please. Cheers
  4. Thanks Bud, I sat lastnight and gently heated up some of the off cust to practice bending & heating for forming the shape, This is some REALLY tough plastic!! but , its dooable I can get a more precise heating with the naked butane flame, but have to be really careful with applying the heat as I dont want to burn it and weaken the plastic Hoping to get this bent to shape tonight and possibly get the edges finished off to an acceptable standard tomorrow. In time to try and break it on Thursday!! ;-) G
  5. Cool, So the kick up part comes off and the "uber" bumper bolts on it its place? Het gun will need found before I can really progress any further I also need to be finishing the edges and rounding them off I like a factory finish :-) G

  11. No worries fella, I have pretty much replicated the design of Uber in cardboard lastnight I will get torn into it at the weekend, just need to put my hands on a heat gun to make bending the cut plastic a bit easier G

  14. Hi team, Im really wanting to buyan UberRC front baja bumper, but simply cant justify the expense of it...... So after a bit of research, I have purchased the same thickness & type of plastic that uber use for theirs I have an a4 sized sheet of 6mm polypropeleyne plastic Looks hard a hell and will be a bugger to cut & bend but thats gonna be part of the fun of this wee mod. Does anyone have an uber front bumper that they would give me sizes off of please, or has anyone done anything remotely similar and have a template?? Cheeky I know, But a shy bairn gets nae sweeties!! Lol Cheers G
