  1. I am running a savage xl on 7.7 CEN Genesis wheels, so I went with a hardened16t pinion but I am not sure which spur to use. I have 6s lipo's and a 2000kv leopard motor on it. I have fitted the hardened flux gears and a heavy duty slipper spring. The spurs I have to hand are a new looking plastic 55t and a steel looking 47t, looks ok but the slipper pad is worn out so I have my doubts. Both came in a job lot. Any help would be appreciated.
  2. Plus I need somewhere to break in the Savage Xl brushless I've been working on!
  3. I have emailed them this evening. The bmx track is flood lit and can only be used at certain times for bikes under the supervision of their pro instructor. I can see them saying no to nitro's but I can't see the problem in bashing some electrics round there. It's a 300m track. Get 20+ bashers there for a weekly meet and it's money in there pocket. I'd pay a fiver to use it. Coffees good there to!
  4. Looks like it's going to be the LRP for this little bad boy! PM me your address mate, just cover the cost of postage and they are yours!
  5. On Sunday I went to the Cyclopark in Gravesend for a Christmas family fun run. It has a massive bmx track and skate park on site and all I could think about was how perfect this place would be to have meets. Has anyone spoken to them about taking rc cars over there?
  6. Do you mean the lrp only lasted 12 gallons? I've not heard good things about the 5.9?
  7. One engine is a the F series. The carburetor is f'd so I can't test it but other wise it looks fine. Pull start seems spot on. One is a K.4.6. The pistons and pull start are missing and again carburetor has gone. The last engine I have is a sts 28, Conrod bushing is worn and one back plate bolt sheared. Are they any use to you?
  8. Cheers guys. Appreciate your advice.
  9. I looked at the LRP after reading another thread. Thread was old though so I was unsure of the latest/best model
  10. I just picked up a couple of non running Savage X's plus a load of spares for a project. I wanted a Flux but decided to build my own from scratch! (Much more fun) I have all the Brushless parts on order but I'm left with enough parts to build a second truck. I decided to keep it a nitro but the 3 engines I have are shot to bits so I need to find something to drop in there. I'm just a basher and new to nitro so any advice is welcome. Something easy to tune but not something I will get bored of after a few runs! Thanks in advance.
  11. I've just put all my cars in the shed (from the front room, making it more Christmassy!) and have a few projects on the go. Should be good to go with a few new runners after Christmas. Defo up for some bashing with you lot.
  12. Cheers for the replies. I wouldn't mind a drive to Ashford at some point. I am right in the middle of town in Maidstone. Just been looking for more places to go bashing. Not as much fun on your own and none of my mates are into it.
  13. Just wondering if you guys are still having meets? I live in maidstone but can travel.
