  1. Havent had much fun with the ansmann virus brushless conversion after 10 minutes of driving the motor started to smoke so I unpluged the lipo an headed home. The motor an esc are new from a mates thunder tiger truggy. An has had little use the few runs ive had with it the temps never went over 50
  2. Yeah I seen your mod an was going to do the same. The ansmann brushless conversion I just did has a same problem with the 4s it lifts the body on one side so im thinking 1 6s battery will will sit alot higher.
  3. Fell just found out im going to get a good tax return so the wjeels are in motion to build the hyper 7 brushless. Found a castle creations combo for $250 so thats the one I'll be getting for the build also looking at some 6s lipo's but not sure if a 6s will fit under the body. I may need to run 2x 3s
  4. Its main purpose will be a full track buggy (dirt) built for racing id like to be able to eat the nitro boys as the hyper brushless will be able to enter with the nitro class an on week ends wheen a few mates come around with their erevo's an 1/5 scale baja's I will be able to either keep up or just blow em away lol. If you have the money an time to play I say ok
  5. Hey guys I was lucky enough to pick up 2 hyper7 rollers in good condition an seeing as I have just finished my ansmann virus brushless conversion for bashing I was thinking about doing up one of the hyper7's for racing an speed runs (fun). Has anyone done a conversion using the castle creations mumba monster it would be mainly run on 4s but would like to throw a 6s in every now and then for some fast speed runs. If I had the cash id set up a hyper7 for speed an the other for racing leaving the ansmann virus for bashing
  6. Hey all im thinking about making a under body cover similar to the outerwears covers for my ansmann virus brushless conversion has anyone done a similar thing. I read a fella was making em but looks like he may have stopped show us what you have done for a buggy chassis cover
  7. Well after having the first real play with the ansmann virus brushless conversion today I managed to rip 4 pre glued race tyres an kill 2 sct tyre's in one pac. This thing is off it's tits running on 4s just need to find a strong glue to hold these tyres on lol
  8. Hey mate just finished my ansmann virus 2.0 brushless conversion an I have a hyper7 body on it an it fits nicely perfect fit. I also have 2 hyper7's an they are very close to the ansmann
  9. An my batterys are turning 5000mah 20c-30c 4s lipo's
  10. Hey guys ive just finished building my ansmann virus brushless conversion an recieved my 4s batterys yesterday they come with a 4mm bullet plug an I dont have a esc plug yet. I have a heap of new deans plugs rated to 60a or 80a. An my motor combo is a ripper 2000kv with a 80a esc out of a mates thunder tiger. Would the deans be ok or should I order some 4mm bullets to conect the esc to the stock battery plugs
  11. Ive done a similar thing to a guy at work. I work at a barra farm (fish) an I had a few dramas with a fella so I put a few fingerlings in his chassis after 3 days no one wanted to park near his car it took about 3 weeks for it to semi pass. An I cant do anything to the airstrip as it's my wifes family's propery. But I could pull out in front of him as he goes to land lol
  12. Ive just done the same conversion I just made a mount out of alloy 5mm angle was reall easy to do an didnt take to long to make. I just need to make a battery tray an that will also be make from thinner angle an a plate for the base
  13. ^^ second that I got another jump repaired this arvo an starting to feel pumped now but still along way to go. The father an his boys haven't been back to the air feild where my rc track is but when they do they will be getting a mouth full an a bit more for the damage an total disrespect of property. What photos ive put up are on the msuk msuk facebook page
  14. Cheers mate got a couple of days off this week so im going to redo an put a small barrier fence around the track so it wont happen again. An seeing as the parents are wealthy builder with a very lar ge company I think the dad should come up to the track an help out
  15. In total it took a month an a half to build an took en 5 minutes to wreck it
  16. My wifes family own a private air strip an some of the pilots kids did the damage. They are really messing with the wrong person. What herts the most is ive done 90% of the work my self by hand an recovering from a dislocated ankle an broken leg. So it was my physio but the track is wrecked an I didn't get a good go at it
  17. Well after spending most of my rdo's to build my rc track I finally got it line marked an ready to race on it to come home the next day an find it in a nice way of saying it stuffed. I know the culprits an the 800cc can am quad with mud tyres an the pewee 50 so more then a stern word will be delt out. If you want to see the track at its build stage its on the forum facebook page
  18. Thanks mate check out the Facebook page to see what ive been working on my private track is almost finished
  19. Hey guys ive just picked up a ansmann virus roller for next to nothing an want to put a brushless set up into it. Do I need to change the plastic spur gear for metal? Or will the plastic spur hold up to the 4s that is going into it. Also can anyone tell me the pitch of the gears so I can get a heap of spare pinion an spur gears. Thanks for your time

    hybrid sct mods

Did a bit of a play around an made a center diff from the old front diff an using the dog bones as a drive shaft just to see if it needed a center diff an to see if my idea worked and it sorted my little binding problem an now allows al 4 wheels to work with each other. Tryed to turn the diff center around inside the housing an the gear dose'nt mesh properly an you could hear it so I did not want to shave off the gear teeth so set up my dodgy center diff idea untill I get a actual center diff sent to me. Thanks for your time guys.
  21. Hey guys after running my hybrid truck for a while an after busting a few front end parts due to jumping. I have purchased a ansmann virus front end for the truck. The original front diff set up used a solid tail shaft from the front to the rear with spur gear attached on rear diff. My problem is that the wheels turn the wrong way to the rear eg. Push the truck forward the 4 wheels bind as the front wants to go backwards an the rear wants to go forward. Why does this happen will I need to run a center diff an motor mount?? Looking at getting a thunder tiger rear end an a thunder tiger eb4 cenrer diff to fix it but dont want to fork out the coin if it doesn't work
  22. The foam I used was about a inch thick an Its like sponge foam so air will still flow into the chassis for cooling
  23. You can use aircon foam that has a adhesive tape on one side. Stick the foam to the inside of the body along the bottom edge of the body. It should make a good seal its what I did to keep rocks an debris out of the chassis. I dont think you will find a body that will but up to the chassis try the foam trick it worked for me
  24. An a heap of dog bones as I think im going to go through heaps of them hsp do a dog bone with a universal joint an axle on one side would these be better then the stock ones ??
  25. Working off some old old kitchen scales its saying it weighs around 2 1/2 kgs an using turigy 20-30c 5000mah 2s I have a speed passion 3500kv 3.0s I might try with some different gears an will get some nanotech 6.6 2s 60-130c batterys an try them out on the hybrid sct. Seeing as its got hsp running gear with a heavier chassis it will be interesting to see how long I get from the parts befor they start to fail under the extra weight. Might get some of the alloy hop up parts just incase something breaks
