Hi guys Had the car for over the year and also have few family members with same chasis... so every so often we take over the local 5-aside and run a small race... anyways the main rules we have is that it has to be built from a TT01 chassis (cost, ease etc..) so thinking now be a nice time to build a Dyno to test the actual speed rather than guessing who's fastest (all for fun of course). Shame the Mini 4WD Speed Checker was never made bigger (would buying one to take apart and use on larger frame work?!) So been on the 'google' and came up with a basic list of parts needed. polyurethane rollers. simpledyno software (website) frame to put it all in. There are a few videos on youtube showing previous builds. example idea: Apart from trial and error, has anyone on these forums built anything similar and can offer some advice?

I'm looking at hiring a sports hall to run some drifting tracks... The only problem I can see is that I have a wooden floor. I need some tyres which won't mark the floor, I assume the standard tamiya racing tyres will mark! Can anyone recommend some tyres I can buy either shop or eBay links would be great

hi sorry to jump on the thread... can you get strip lights that plug into the TLU-01? Im looking to have a groundkit similiar to how real cars had them rather than a strip of plastic with LEDS every few inches... such a thing exsit?

If I put a 58t spur on there will I need to get a new pinion like a 23t? Is plastci parts fine for this type of thing?

Hope someone can help me out here... I bought a ready made TT01... I just want to confirm faults before I get them fixed, one fault I believe is the receiver the others could be plastic parts etc.... I will be stripping and rebulding the car so can fix this errors just need to know what I should be looking at fixing. 1. OK the car seems to have a fine signal when sat on the table but if I go more than a metre away the car will spin the motor without any controls being touched intermittently, moving the wheels and become unresponsive to the receiver, as if signal has some interference any ideas what this could be? I took it outside does the same thing I stand it on the ground step back and it will either do nothing then fire up and fly of uncontrolled without any actions on the receiver. 2. Steering is making a very horrible clunking noise.. as shown in video..https://www.youtube....h?v=L3T5Ri5ED_U 3.
