  1. No, I don't need to buy new but I think I want too, I have had a look through the classifieds and when it comes to going to look at my local shop I will look in the classifieds again but I would rather buy new...I'm abit of a geek when it comes to cleaning and maintenance so like my MTB it has to have been maintained/cleaned meticulously and unfortunately with second hand most don't come up to scratch.
  2. I know i'm probably doing everyones head in now but what about this? http://www.modelsport.co.uk/ftx-carnage-1-10-4wd-brushless-truggy-rtr/rc-car-products/40397 It comes with battery and charger and is quite abit under budget...from what I can gather if you buy a better battery they can be really fast too.
  3. OK..so on the right hand side of the HPI model I linked too it has something called the sport combo...I assume this is everything that you need to be able to use it?
  4. ahh right, I didn't realize that you don't get battery and chargers with these....I thought RTR refers to the fact that they are ready to use out of the box?
  5. Would something like this - http://www.modelsport.co.uk/hpi-e-firestorm-flux-rtr-2.4ghz/rc-car-products/39664 be any good?
  6. Cheers for the comments. I have had a look at the mini 8 and I think its too small. Maybe I may have to look at 2wd as they seem cheaper than the 4wd? are the Traxxas cars any good?
  7. Hi folks Thinking of getting into the hobby and looking for my first car, posted a "help me chose a car thread" in electric general. Anybody else from the West Yorkshire area on the forums? Cheers. Stefan
  8. Hi Folks. I'm thinking of treating myself to a RC car for Christmas as I have never had a decent one and I now fancy one. I'm a total newbie to the whole hobby so don't have a clue what I should be looking for, I think I want electric over nitro (just for ease) and I want a decent sized model too maybe 1/10 or 1/16 no smaller, I would be looking at a budget of around
