  1. Just a quickie, how easy is it to adjust the ride height on a Rascal 1? Not talking springs etc, but actually moving the shockers further in. Anyone done it, and how easy/hard is it, what should i be looking out for etc? I guess its just a case of moving the bottom of the shocks in, and then realigning suspension, but i have learnt that nothing ever goes easily and first time with these little sods.
  2. Sorry to thread hijack, but has anyone had any experience of the cheapy sets on Ebay. I know the old adage of too good to be true, but I was looking at changing my stick tx to a steerwheel, and for an extra
  3. anyone know if these will fit a rascal without too much hassle? Got proline dirt paws on at the moment.
  4. From what I understand, the 2.4gig systems run in a completely seperate band width than normal 27mhz and 40mhz frequencies, much much higher. Because of that, there's less interference. also, because of there being a much wider spread of frequencies, more cars can run at once without interference. Now the clever bit comes when you switch on. The transmitter and reciever will scan the area, work out which frequencies are in use, and then pick a free frequency, all automatically, meaning you could be running a different frequency throughout the day. Much easier, and also has advantages of being less glichy, and quicker to respond. Prices coming way down now too.
  5. Got harder springs on the back now, and thicker damping oil all round, will get it out on the road soon to see how it handles...
  6. No angle adjustment on the shocks, nothing to do there!
  7. After some advice, I've got a Rascal on standard suspension setup, only thing i've changed is the tyres which are now Proline Dirt Hawgs. Happy with them, only problem is that the car is now really unstable, and rolls far too easily. With the older tyres, the grip would give out, and the car would spin, but now its a problem with them being too grippy. How best would be the suspension set up? Should I be looking at harder, softer, thicker or thinner oil, or more or less pre-load on them? I was considering changing the rear springs for harder ones, as the chassis bottoms out quite a lot, would this help? Any other advice would be appreciated, thanks!!3
  8. Good topic!! Thing i don't get is... If the universe and space is infinite (supposedly), and its always expanding, whats it expanding into? And can you cry underwater?
  9. Would like to nominate Allan1010 for most useful and informative posts ^^^ always a well explained techie answer to a good question. Good man!
  10. Now this is cool!! Laptop connected to the throttle, with various RPM's mapped to different notes. Done as a promo thing at goodwood. http://www.yourdailymedia.com/media/116013...National_Anthem
  11. FANNYMOULDS!! Yep, scoob mani's from the factory are unequal length, which gives the great sound. This is a pretty good engine note too, but the bloke drives like a big doorknob. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/0173a5d...8a600dfd068.htm
  12. Apparently classic wildcat shell fits with a lot of trimming, other than that nothing yet.
  13. Yep, polygonal lasso tool, and the more time you take the better the result. Then cut the bride (lol), and paste into the other pic. Then press ctrl+t to transform, and play with stretch, shear and stuff. Then enter to save changes. Hard work to get it looking right though. Much easier next time to call the bride over before taking the photo.
  14. Nope, they're called loss leaders. Basically, think of it as a big twin turbo V-sign at the rest of the motor industry, showing off what they can do. Toyota do a similar thing with the Prius, only on a smaller scale. And to be fair, if this guy way going 100mph, then he's clearly a massive tool, and deserves to have the car taken off him along with his licence. As for the pregnant women, thats fairly standard play, i was in A&E a couple of weeks ago wiv my missus as she'd had a tiny bump in her car, but as she's carrying a slightly larger (20 week old) bump, it was better to get it checked up.
  15. Umm, where does it say it was being thrashed? Two cars doing 40mph makes a closing speed of 80mph, which makes a big dent. Anyway, with a price of 800,000, there's a lot of work to be done before the cars written off.
  16. Manifolds boy. Headers are what american cars have.
  17. Anyone ever seen this site? Its great, just stick a URL in, and straight away your spitting jive n ting. Give it a bash. Translated:
  18. Anyone know of any other shells that will fit a Schumacher Rascal? want a change, so i'm not really wanting to go with the original one, although if i have to then fair enough.
  19. Also, instead of hammering, you need a drift. Esentially its a bit of tubing bigger diameter than the driveshaft, but smaller than the bearing, so you can apply equal force all the way round the bearing at the same time, so it goes on square.
  20. Depends on your graphics card and other factors. 1280*1024 is what i would recommend.
  21. This is the carver one, proper carving car, i want one!!!
  22. Teehee hee, childish giggle. Erm, think they're fairly standard, schumacher do one themselves, have a look at their newsletter on racing-cars.com
  23. Worst song ever. Fact. I win http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2psELS-WCg
  24. Schumacher have now released a Rotostart kit for Rascal and Riot, think i'm gonna get me one, and see if anyone has a cheap rotostart for sale. £8.99 for the backplate, do people think its worth it?
