  1. Update I have just got the car out of the box the Vaterra Kalahari & the Overlander Nimh Battery Pack 2/3 AF 1600mah 7.2v Premium Sport W/EC3 battery, so I have turned on the rc6 charger & set it up like this. NiMh mode, charge, 1.6A, start. now the charger is saying 1.6a but it drops to 0.0 & then starts again so I guess it is classed as a pulse charge ?, the charge volt is 8.71v max but this drops a bit now & then too. so does this sound ok so far ? as I thought I would try the NiMh battery first & not the lipo lol. also I am using one of the Overlander Lipo Safe Sack to charge up in so is that ok for nimh too. thanks & sorry about these questions I am just playing it safe with this set up. ps does the 'charged capacity numbers' on the rc6 charger display ( bottom right ) mean it will go up to 1600mah then stop as its a 1600mah battery ? or what else does the numbers mean ?. kenny
  2. many thanks folks I have got a swap over lead off eBay for the Tamiya lead in the box to use it on the losi mini battery's, so all is good so far. I have read up a bit about LiPo battery's so I will be using them in a few days as I am a bit busy at work ( self employed ) . so I will put the LiPo's in the Overlander Lipo Safe Sacks what I have brought too until I use them.
  3. sounds cheers I am understanding this NiMh & LiPo charging a bit better now, as I hear that the LiPo can be a handful if they charge wrong...
  4. hi I have just got the rc6 charger today but I have just turned it on, & it says in NiMh manual charge you can pick from 0.1A. so that sounds like I charge the losi 4.8V 220mAh NiMh battery's up ok using this charger. however I guess I enter 0.2A or do I enter the upper limit of charge current of 0.4A \ 400 mA ? like the losi wall charger says for the output. I have the UK wall charger here & i have just got the info off the losi charger label. thanks edited, web site link added for the overlander rc6 charger manual = http://www.overlander.co.uk/Overlander_RC6VSP_Manual.pdf
  5. cool cheers that is what I was hoping as it will save using the standard chagers, also I have just seen a dynamite losi mini plug to tamiya battery charger adapter dyn5004, so if I get that & the Etronix Tamiya Charging Cable for the RC6-VSP it will all work ok together. I take it I just Charge the Lithium battery in LiPo balance mode at 2A & at 7.2v so the charger works out the rest. however i take it the losi 4.8V 220mAh NiMh Battery Pack charges in NiMH mode using auto & the upper limit of charge current is set at 400 mA ?. I have the UK wall charger here & it have just got the info of the charger label ( output 6v 400mA ). so does 400 mA sound ok for this battery ?. just double checking I have got the info right, so when I get the car & set up the mesh \ slipper wheel if it needs it along with the other goodies I am getting in the next 2 days I can just charge up & get out & have some fun...... . kenny
  6. sound I was thinking about that but will the rc6 charge them losi small battery's ok ?
  7. hi folks I am new to LiPo batteries & I have just got myself a rc6 overlander charger for a vaterra Kalahari that I have just ordered, along with 2 Dynamite 7.4V 2000mah 2S 30C LiPo - EC3 battery's. however the LiPo battery & the rc6 charger is the worrying thing for me as I have not used them before so any help on how to use & charge plus store my battery's would be great folks. along any info web sites or forums will be great too. as I will be reading up before I even dare to try charging them on my own. I take it this rc6 charger will also charge the standard Nimh battery & the Overlander Nimh Battery Pack2/3 AF 1600mah 7.2v Premium Sport W/EC3 that I have also brought ?. also I would like to use the rc6 for my losi micro rally normal battery's = 4.8V 220mAh NiMh Battery Pack \ Connector Type: Losi Micro \ Number of Cells: 4. Oh one last thing if I may does the rc6 chanrger come with the ec3 lead for charging ? or do I need to buy one code ET0270 Modelsport UK along with a Overlander Lipo Safe Sack or 2 code 0000153 . all the best for now kenny
  8. Hi folks I just bought a overlander rc6 charger mostly for another car that I have just brought, but I would like to use this charger for my losi rally. however how or where can I get any leads that I need from please ?, my rally is running the standard NiMh 4.8v 220mAh battery's. thanks
  9. cool jumping & they are great fun mate, however I have now got some 15wt oil as the rally is so light & the shocks are so small, but I will being using that weight with my red springs what I have got on my spare shocks so I can change the shocks to suit if I am drifting about or jumping. also would these fit & work on the rally version what I have ? = http://t-bone-racing.net/Brand-A-M/Losi/Micro-Truggy/P114-TBR-steering-plates-37172-Losi-Micro-Truggy-p1166.html
  10. are they wow I thought they would be a bit harder oh well as I don't hold back at times when in the house so it has had a few good fast bumps & knocks, but it just keeps on going..... well cheers for the tip about the oil so I will find some light weight oil asap for the new shocks I have got, as they were half filled or little filled up with there oil. however I have seen some mad jumps with these small cars & they just carry on......
  11. ah right goodman as that makes sense to me !!! & the car parts are well bloody tiny indeed, so I have just swapped the standard springs what ever they are to the med red ones & it feels a bit better. so I will give the car a bit of stick indoors later tonight if I can & do a few small & biggish jumps too, however here is a few photos of the parts I have & the black wheels fitted along with the red springs, Kenny
  12. the above stuff I have just got the stocks & springs along with the Diff. Ring & Pinion Gears came from toadzrc.com in the usa, & they were about half price inc postage to me however they only took about 9 days to get to me ! so I am happy with there service & you can search by car or scale. also Hobbyking don't stock the losi parts sorry to say but that stock some great add ons like the lights I have on order & I hear the lipo batterys are better & a lot cheaper off them even if you have to swap the connector over to a losi one, & I have a HXT500 servo off them what might need me to mod the rally chassis a bit. then we have thetoyz.come web site what carries a lot of spares & hop ups plus a few more general items for sale cheaper then the uk again with postage on top !. even though the uk as some great shops & good prices most are out of stock on the parts I would like to buy, but i will order from the uk when I can to support our local shops.... kenny
  13. well folks I got the = Losi LOSB1766, Shock Spring Set Med., Micro SCT, Rally LOSB1766 Losi LOSB1760, Diff. Ring & Pinion Gears, Micro SCT, Rally LOSB1760 Losi LOSB1762, Oil Filled Damper Shock Set, Micro SCT, Rally LOSB1762 & now I am trying to work out what oil to get with these med springs for indoor use & some jumps also in doors, so do you think 30wt will be best ?, kenny
  14. hi I got one of these last week & I did this mod first = Steering Mod: Turning Radius Improvement ( you might have to join that forum to see it ) adjust slipper on 1/24 Rally = http://forum.losi.com/showthread.php?t=11130 also I have been told this helps too = http://www.reflexracing.net/How-To-Free-Up-Your-Losi-Micro-SC-Rally-Drive-Train_ep_52.html LOSI 1:24 SCT, Rally, Truggy Ultimate Tuning Guide http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1646230 hope this helps a bit I hear you can use the truggy wheels & the sct on ours no problem, also I would go for 30wt oil in the stocks as I hear they come with air in them or only a little bit of oil !. parts from modelsport but I have got some parts from toadzrc, thetoyz, hobbyking in the usa & japan as they are cheaper then the uk !, also there is only a few other body shells knocking about what other folks have made as I can only see the standard ones for sale in shops..... . kenny

  17. looks ugly sorry to say but I like the idea of it & there is some cool stuff on it, however in the video the bloke says you can adj the width & the length but what about the wheelbase ? as that would be great if you could change the wheelbase of it. also I have just got my losi 1/24 rally car so would I be wasting my money on this after I see one go that is ??
  18. welcome & I used to race there many years back, kenny
  19. many thanks & I will have to try that bearing mod too but I am still learning about these cars, & just being back in to rc stuff I am worried if I do something wrong but hay I will give it a try. so I need to get some oils & grease etc. but I am tracking down what is good to use on these cars & then I will give it a go, also I really want a audi rally shell so I will ask around & see if I can get one made up.
  20. Well folks I am after a nice new body shell for my rally car, but I can only see a few on web sites & the eBay site so do any of you know where I can get a nice Audi Quattro rally one from or a nice Subaru sti from new or old shape.. ? or in fact any other body shell for that matter, thanks Kenny Length: 163mm (6.42inch) Wheelbase: 99mm (3.9inch) Width: 94.5mm (3.72inch)
