  1. Haha was a sweet race! Shame we didn't get last nights on film, that was an epic race! I need some kind of camera up in the corner filming!
  2. Most of the companies work like this these days, i've not found anyone who holds all the Carisma spares 100% in stock. DMS Racing are pretty good, they hold a few parts in stock. Wheelspin are pretty quick though, if i order from their shadow stock on a Monday its with me by Thursday. Not too shabby.
  3. Most of the parts can be found pretty easy, there was a shortage of parts a few months ago when the Micro Nationals were on but that's finished now. Wheelspin models holds pretty much every Carisma GTB part in stock. http://www.wheelspinmodels.co.uk/s/?q=carisma+gtb&x=0&y=0 Tbh the only thing that we all go through at our club is the hubs and rear belts. Apart from that they are extremely though! Upgrade parts that are essential are the CVD's for the front and the Ali motor mount with a fan connected Most run the upgraded Carbon 'Thumbs Design' front and rear towers, although these aren't essential, just depends if you crash a lot lol.
  4. I have pretty much every upgrade under the sun for the GTB and you beat me / keep up every week and like you say yours is pretty much standard! We have some very close racing! For anyone who doesnt know our real names thats RCMonkee in 1st and me in 2nd. All 4 in that heat were gtb's. Again all gtb's in this heat too
  5. I went from a Losi mini 8 (essentially the same as an EMB) to a Carisma GTB and the difference was night and day for me. The GTB's are a better car to drive, smoother, better handling and easier to work on. A gtb is belt driven and it has a GRP chassis that gives it more flax over the rigid ali losi and EMB's, a gtb is soooooooooo much smoother in the way it puts the power onto the track. You only have to look at the Micro Nationals, its dominated by Carisma GTB's with the Exception of Andy Jones who runs a an EMB. His EMB was the only EMB that was a title contender though. The EMB is a very good car but personally i wouldn't buy one if you want to race at a competitive micro level every week, your be out-raced by gtb's. Everyone at our club races a gtb too.
  6. A few pictures from the race day The day was a great success with lots of people coming down to race. The BBQ was epic, the racing was epic and the flying of the planes and quads were epic too! There will be a few tweaks for the next one, we will start at 10am sharp so we get a little longer for lunch, this also means we can get an extra round in. Also we did a bump up into the A for the winner of the B final, We will also do this next time as it worked really well I'm working out dates for the next one over the next few days so if anyone wants to come to the next then left me know. 7. The only places that i know of that are close enough to drive is Nimrif RC models or Totem hobbies, both in Plymouth. You could give them a ring? Apart from that the only places i know are off the internet.
  8. Not long now and the weathers meant to be good this weekend Racing, flying and a BBQ!
  9. Yeah thats fine , i can add you in to any heat at any time of the day so its not a problem if you are running late . Kids never make life easy lol! The novice class is a lot more laid back and if you want to have a bit of fun and not worry about getting in peoples way then this is the class to go in, i sometimes wonder if i should go in this class each week lol. Jony if you have any old low cell lipo's that you want to get rid of then bring them along
  10. This is NEXT WEEKEND Saturday 4th April so if anyone would like to come down and have a day full of racing, flying and a bbq then click on the link below If you want to stick around we are lighting a big pallet fire for when it gets dark Everyone is welcome and any ability too, we have a Novice class for anyone who wants to race but doesnt want the fast pace of the other classes. https://www.facebook.com/events/456073851216071/ Click on the link above for all the details.
  11. Jony have a look at these from Phat Bodies, a few fit the EMB http://phatbodies.bigcartel.com/ I wouldn't bother with their wings though, i bought some and they were crap. Your better off buying a 10th wing, thats what most people run and they are stronger and pre cut
  12. A few of us go to a Club in Torbay on a Friday Called Torbay Micro. Here's a vid from last nights A final. The final was all Carisma Gtb's It was a very close race with the top 3 finishing on 26 laps and 3 seconds apart. I finish 3rd and only got beat on the line of the loop as I ran a little wide. Im the Red car. The postions were 1st Tom Roach 2nd Molly Brindle 3rd Matt Latham (me) 4th Graham Blowers 5th Mark Coombs 6th Malcom Shears
  13. Jony i've just messaged him, i will find out for you. I'm not sure on the full spec. It was
  14. Ahhh ok sweet! There's someone i know who is selling their EMB for
  15. Nice one Jony! What happened to the other half of the micro lol??
  16. Hi mate no probs, this is the exact one we have. They have actually come down in price a little since we bought ours. These ones have a toughened glass play field and it's takes a real hammering. Also, the legs remove in about 5 mins so you can store it upright when your not using it They are heavy and need 2 people to move them but that just shows how well they are made. Replacement play balls can be found on Ebay very cheap. We had one of these set up in out games room with a few pinballs and fruit machines. It would get played every night of the week Ours will be back out as soon as the sun decides to do the same lol http://www.bristolpoolandsnooker.com/product.php?id=59#
  17. I will get a picture uploaded of the one I have. It's a proper pub/home style one and cost
  18. Yessss Jony Deffo come down if you have the day free! It will be A LOT warmer then it was the last time you were down Do you still have the RB6? Have you got a micro too?
  19. Hi mate that's brilliant, your boys are going to want a car each once they see the racing lol! Transponder hire is free. Its
  20. Here's a vid from the Torbay Micro A final on Sunday. I'm the red car, 2nd on the grid and finished 2nd. The battle we had for 1st was brilliant until i flipped it on the table top around 3 mins in. If you play it on full 1080 quality its very clear . The vid was filmed by car 8 (Jed Briggs) on a head mounted go pro. Subscribe to his youtube channel, he uploads some really good vids Few of the other member on here were in this race. Team South West Indoor RC made up for 4 of them . It was a good days racing! 2nd Matt Latham (me) 3rd Richard Tough 4th Callum Mitchell 6th Ashley Parkin My gearing setup for the day was 62 spur and 16 pinion with the leopard 5800kv motor.
  21. Some burgers that will be served, these will be banging!
  22. A few pictures of some of the valley where you can have a fly, there's plenty of space to have some fun in the sky when your not racing
