Right lads, I'm off to sunny Orlando tomorrow and taking a wedge of money over with me to hopefully buy an MST MS01D or Yokomo DIB when I'm over there and post it back over as a gift, has anyone done anything like this before or know anywhere to go looking for them as its my first time over in the states.. I was told this would be a fair bit cheaper than buying over here if it clears customs fine, so like I said any ideas would help out massively gents, Ps I am kinda ****ting bricks thinking about flying so far as its only the second time I've been on a plane

looking smart bud just think I've sorted the control of my clone now gonna have a play tonight with the lads and see what they think just need the decent motor and esc now, loving the scooby shell aswell im looking for a new one for mine as its too tight on the beemer with the up from motor, might have to buy my self the stock front hubs and arms to do the c-hub delete mod as I can't get the 55* cvds to turn as they're to tight. Starting I bought a roller d3 from RCgeeks as a starting point

the CS ratio is the same as the D3 @ 2.14 and the tarmac shouldn't be a bother as all the other lads who run there have no issues and its quite new tarmac and very flat, the angles are nowhere near 55* atm which is what the cvd's are good for i think myself its just poorly made front knucles and c hubs the c hubs look to be carrying about 11* of caster which is probably abit high so i was thinking of buying the D3 plastic front arms and doing the c hub delete mod on them to see if it helps and i wouldn't think its the servo dude its a brand new alturn and seems fit whats getting me atm is its chattering n with no wieght on the wheels its just dead strange thanks though gents, looks like im just going to have to wait till somewheres got the bottom arms and knuckles in stock and try that

I've had a quick butchers tbf but the things that have sorted their problems aren't doing me any good..

things aren't all good yet Craig I'm having some seriously bad wheel chatter that i just can fathom being new to the CS side of drifting its testing me tbf bud and cant see a resolve coming quickly I still haven't had more than 5 mins testing it yet... and the beemer shell will be going soon or staying on the shelf.. but the 55* cvd's haven't helped the chatter problems and the only way i can stop it is by limiting the steering right down and that kinda defeats the whole CS idea lol i might even make it RWD yet as I dont have the best of patience limitations.. lol P.S cheers bud they do look the dogs dangley's lol

I'm just faffing about setting it up atm which could take a while and thanks gents I'll have a go at weighing it tomorrow at work for ya louder, I don't have any scales at my gaff, and that was one of the best bits no fee's!! Bargain lol just sorted the chatter by taking the end points back 8% and i'll try and get some vids and more pics up but i haven't even got round to fitting the bodyshell on it yet and im dying to take it for a spin lol so might pop out for an hour tonight if i can get the body all fitted tonight

thanks for the input gents im liking the look and price of the reventon gear tbf but I'll sort that out out when i get back from the states next month, but as for the D3 its here!!!! finally so after about two and a half hours thread locking everything lol heres a few pics and just a warning the electrics are abit messy atm but I'm not to worried as i say I'm going to be changing them over soon enough as I definatly need a front one way and sensored motor as mine has no slow speed atm but cant wait to get out there with it first problem i have seen though is even with the UWA CVD's theres some pretty bad wheel chatter at high revs but anyway heres the pics..

Right lads I'm after a brushless sensored combo for the D3 as my current brushless system is a bit full on at low revs to say the least so whats a good cheap one lads to get me going after a programmable one really and its all gibberish to me atm Edit: P.S the chassis should be here today!!! Finally!

There was a chap on the RC Drift Lichfield Facebook page selling and I think making RS500 shells and I only had a quick look but they seemed pretty good tbf just a thought for u dude it was a while back though so it'll be pretty far down the page

I agree with teshi on the hpi m3 body shell I had the hpi corolla AE86 as a fist body and the BM com paired to that is twice as strong with half as much body flex as the levin

Well gents the woes are nearly over as the package is en route and at the sorting facility in HK, so hopefully Monday I should be sliding and it's a chap on eBay but they are vinyls that have been printed on they'd be on the shell right now but the Smirnoff gold got the better of me tonight lol but not bad for the hefty sum of 3 golden nuggets.. Lol hopefully I'll have some chassis pics to put up Monday and Tuesday I'll be sliding And thanks for all the comments in the thread giving compliment gents it's appreciated great community on here

lol i had all that when i started looking it gave me about 5 good hours of reading and one hell of a head ache and i still dont really feel like im much further ahead but the lads i drift with are like a fountain of knowledge so i can always fall back on them lol just something i forgot to mention the hardest ones cant be used on carpet its the hard ones they run on carpet competitions, i think

I had this chat with some of the local lads by me seeded 1st and 2nd in the current uk drift comps and they pointed me in the direction of the MST GA26 tires in the hardest comp. they said they will be hard to learn with but it keeps the slides pretty slow so kinda suiting the learning curve of CS drifting but the added bonus is they take forever to wear down thats just my 2pence worth anyway, and sweet ride man looks ace

I've still got an original super champ with everything on it, original accoms tx & rx and 12V plug in timer charger for it even the original hard case +1 battery pack needs some love and restoration tho but they do look good when their as clean as the one pictured

Atm I'm just waiting to hear back off the ebay team but I've got to wait until the 11th of this month to take further action and tbf I still really want the clone but its just such poor customer service that he's showing atm its frustrating as i was planning on taking a trip up to soul after I'd spent a few hours learning the cs, looks like thats all out of the window for this month anyway..

yer i did have a look at those tbf Craig but didn't really want the Jap ones i'll put a pic up on Thursday when they get here to show ya. and im fully gutted about it and the seller hasn't messaged back or anything its starting to wind me up tbf because he was quick to reply when he thought i was buying it

I just ordered some off a chap who does them on ebay and they look the dogs full german plates with stamps the lot.. and update the sakura Isn't coming... the seller just printed the tickets off to give me a tracking number and hasn't had it collected for delivery according to DHL customer care so it is literally still in hong kong even though i paid for express delivery 2weeks ago today.. I give up...
