  1. I had the same slight bind with the spur. I sorted it by using a very thin shim/washer underneath on 1 side, just giving the spur enough clearance.
  2. I'm not even gonna say what that reminds me of... I don't think I've seen a nice looking front end on any car yet, save perhaps the redbull. The Ferrari looks like a hoover.
  3. Well at the start of 'shock-gate', I'd ordered some LC racing alu shocks. Finally come today, gonna do the fit tonight. Looks like I'll be using the exploded diagram from the manual. Wish me luck
  4. I shud pay more attention Si / Geeze, yup they're plastic bodies. Will get some new 1's. Wud be gd to know for future tho if those others are compatible..
  5. I'm not sure actually. I'll check later. Ta.
  6. Finally got my hands on some CVD's. Fitted them last night b4 racing. Chuffed! I've been having issues with 1 of my front shocks. It keeps popping open, when I crash badly. I know, I know....don't crash then !? I reckon I might have damaged the thread on the cap anyway now + I've lost the small diaphragm thing. Can any1 recommend a replacement front shock set apart from the stock 1 I've seen for about
  7. Any1 had any news if there's gonna be any hops ups on the suspension arms? Aluminium?
  8. Just realised that's tosh what I said re:motor, I'm running the stock 1, lol
  9. I think it was you Silone that told me about the RPM rod ends. Absolute solid bits of kit btw, but have you found that it doesn't seem to leave much thread left on the rods to alter camber etc?
  10. I've had some tumbles in mine & it's held up really well. The worst 1 I had was my stock wing shattering on impact from behind. My 1 shock has popped off a few times now, probably damaged the thread & need a new 1 tbh. But other than that it's a little tank! I had to retire in last Wed's final (gutted too as was doing alright) due to what looked initially like the bell crank broken but wasn't. The dog bone had popped outta the carrier, must invest in some CVD's.
  11. I'm surprised by the room in that, I have a difficult choice to make now too.
  12. Also though, you'll need a slightly thicker and longer screw too.
  13. I got mine from here: http://www.rccarshop.co.uk/index.php/spares/team-xray/xb4-buggy/xr361320-body-mount-battery-mount-wing-shim-2.html
  14. Exclusively run indoors only for me, not had that issue, sorry.
  15. I liked that from the point of view of covering the front shocks, might provide a little protection when rolling it, lol. But it looks like you'll have to consider space for any top deck mounted components.
  16. Really good to be honest. I'd bought it off ebay as a esc/motor combo approx
  17. I had a height issue too once I switched in my current ESC. Had to remove the fan for a time until, after some advice on here, I bought some new taller body shell posts. I now have about 2mm clearance on the fan. But I do intend on trying out a Turbo shell from Phat bodies, seems to have more height in middle section. Bonus being it looks quite cool too.
  18. Sorry should have been clearer....outside edge of each battery holder, NOT inside edge of battery holder, this would indeed let the battery slip toward the drive shaft potentially.
  19. Actually already have a couple of pic's on my Gallery (with that very battery installed): http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/25768-/ A picture of the Dremel mod on the battery retainer post (needs doing both sides): http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/26201-/
  20. I did have stock ESC, it worked fine. But have switched it out for a Toro Leopard esc & motor combo I had. I've raced just a couple of times at Coseley (it is my local, live 3mins from there) but can't make Friday nights very often unfortunately. I've been racing regularly at Telford on a Wednesday though for last couple of months.
  21. Sry 45C. That's where I had them from actually. They fit well once the little mod is done. When bk home later I'll post a pic of what I had to do.
  22. I have 2 Overlander 2200mah 2S 45C running in rotation. It copes really well with then, I get some great performance out of them. And top end, full pace is not difficult to handle. I did have to Dremel off the outer ends of the battery holders to fit the slight extra width of the packs, but as there's a lip to the base the strap holds them very securely. I've not tried 3S, so couldn't say how it handles but wouldn't fancy trying to cope with that. Can't vouch for how the other components would cope either.
  23. Congrats Silone. Just need to some dry weather then to take it for a spin!
