  1. No, I've texted the club explaining that the parts still aren't in stock for the buggy so there's not much point in me going. Thanks. Looks good, I won't be able to make it tomorrow though. Where?
  2. Haven't got a Google Maps link by any chance, have you?
  3. Can't make it on Saturday I'm afraid. I'm busy until early afternoon, which doesn't leave me enough time to meet you guys and get back in time for work. If anyone wants to meet up on Sunday though, just let me know.
  4. Fitted my new motor: ">http:// I hope you're ready for that race, Mr Ambrosius, because I am! 3S POWEEEEEERRRRR!
  5. You may have a point there. Hurry up and get a bashing car!
  6. Oh well. Hopefully Wheelspin Models' suppliers will get their act together soon. Asiatees could come in handy in future though, thanks for the tip!
  7. Fair enough I suppose. I'm planning on going to Perranporth but those stupid new diff cases I need still aren't in stock, so I might not have a car to race with!
  8. That's true, the Firestorm drifts really well! Yes, I like shiny things! Oi! The next race at Perranporth is this weekend!
  9. Never mind, should be a simple fix. I broke a steering hub on the Optimus a while back from a high speed clip (it was actually more of a crash) into a fence post. The hub was metal as well!
  10. Brilliant, thank you! I'd never thought about removing the rubber seals so I'll give that a go. Thanks!
  11. Right, time for an update. I haven't done anything regarding lights or tyres yet (I know, I know, I should have got on with it by now!) but I have just hit a problem. After a few runs I thought it still looked a bit.....clean, so I made a big muddy puddle as part of the trail in the garden and the truck now looks much better! However, I fitted rubber sealed bearings when I built it to keep all the dirt out but the front wheel bearings have now rusted solid because of the puddle. Yes, I should have thought of that! They're soaking in WD40 at the moment to see if they'll loosen up but I'm not very hopeful. So, what should I do now, assuming the bearings are dead? I've still got all the standard bushings that were never fitted so I might replace the bearings with those. Any other suggestions, apart from buying new bearings?
  12. No problem guys, glad to be of help! Hopefully I'll be bringing the buggy along soon as well, for some 1/8 action! I don't know if I can make it this weekend or not, I'll have to get back to you on that.
  13. Changed the deans connector on the Maverick to an EC5 yesterday. Ordered new rear hubs to replace the one I broke (aluminium so no more breakages ) and a 2400kv motor so I can run 3S once I've installed it. Soon I'll be ready to take on the Firestorm again, this time I won't be beaten!
  14. 4.20V is the voltage of a fully charged cell, it shouldn't ever go over that.
  15. I had a cell recently that didn't want to charge properly, just give it time and it should get there.
  16. Not necessarily, that's a fairly big difference but your charger should be able to sort it out. Was the battery new or second hand?
  17. What? You're buying something from the UK?
  18. I've just looked on Google Images. Obviously I don't know anything about it but it looks cool!
  19. It's OK, I was just a bit earlier than everyone else. It was a good bash actually. Everyone's still there, I had to leave early because I'm about to go to work. When are you going to get a car sorted and come along?
