I here what you are saying LOL, but trust me, i have had Kyosho for a long time best one was the FW05T and was tuned to perfection, but this pice of **** (Thunder Tiger) is the worst i have come across. Kyosho are brill compared with this. The engine came preset and it would not even fire up, even when it did it died straight away. So i took the carb apart and noticed the jet was blocked hence running with no or little fuel! I unblocked it carefully but i may have bamaged the jet in the process, so now it is flooding all the time as the needle is broke at the tip. What i am saying is Thunder Tiger qoute " the easiest engine to tune!. Well its ball****, it came to me damaged, and i thought i had done it. Sure, maybe easy to tune but not when the jet blocked LOL. I would send it back but i stupidly bought it from Ebay so i have no warranty as such though it was new. Thanks for your help, and is there anywhere you know where i can get a spare carb
  2. Can anyone help me please? I have just built from scratch a version 1 ssk monster truck from Thunder Tiger by collecting partworks from a magazine and getting the rest from Ebay. I have also purchased the version 2 engine(0.18) and 2 speed gearbox. The problem is this: 1. I cannot start the blooming engine - I fuel up, place glow stater on glow plug and wait 20 secs, then prime engine and pull the pull start. It takes ages to fire, but when it does, it suddenly dies. I have not got through a tank full yet as it is not even run in. On many occasions, it gets flooded and i cannot pull the pull starter at all, therefore i release the glow plug and drain the excess fuel etc and retry. I have even got to the point where the glow starter battery dies out after a 14 hour charge! (only used for approx 1 hour, but this is constantly). The glow plug heats up and goes bright orange. 2. I have reset many times to the factory settings - 2-2/12 turns screwed out on hsn and 1mm throttle gap in carb. I have managed to get it to run once for about 2 mins then it dies. 3. I now have blisters on my fingers from trying and i'm ready to bin it. 4. Any ideas anyone? I have just got something to own up to, which might not help the matter..... the first time i reset the hsn back down i realised that no fuel was coming into the carb, i then took the carb apart and noticed the hsn jet blocked. I managed to unblock it though when i look at the needle it looks like a bit has come off? Any help would be gratefull, Cheers, Nic.
  3. Im moving from on roadnitro to off road and wanted to know what people think of the T-Maxx rtr set (the 2.5cc engine) Is it any good as i can get one for £275 delivered. I have been using model technics 16% fuel with my on road nitro and still have half a gallon left so can i use this fuel to run in and run all the time with? What should i be carefull of, i mean what goes wrong? Any advice would be grateful. Oh, yeah, what does it have ie: 2 speed and reverse? pull start etc thanks, Nic.
  4. Could this really happen to a car / engine this young? It does not stall all the time when hot, just say 7 out of 10 times, it seems that the engine is getting really hot to?

Hi all, i got a Kyosho FW05T And i have one minor fault.... i have the engine running sweet when first started , no stalling, ticks over great, but i have noticed that over the course of say 2 hours running (5mins here and 10 mins there etc ) the engine tends to stall when the engine gets hot? How do i tune out this problem? It is only 1 month old, and had about 3 ltrs of fuel through it.
