  1. Halewood, yep. Townsend is towards Dovecot as you get to the roundabout by the Greyhound. Massive wide open field and old gravel car park. Although the police moved us on from there last week as someone had reported a motor crosser......
  2. I read somone on here was trying to setup on the old Bridgefield forum site and needed some help, i suspect it's not far from you One of my mates run up there last week and looks ok, start of a track/jumps/ramps etc being sorted. I generally end up on camp hill or townsend avenue with 3 or 4 other lads.

    K5.9 issue

Make sure you also have the springs installed correctly so they fly out, turns anti-clockwise if i remember, but you should just check with the roto/pull which way it is. Flywheel nut needs to have the groove for the springs to sit in so they dont slide up and provides tension. Also make sure your clutch bell isn't rubbing on the flywheel and any spacers/shims are in place so it's spinning freely when fitted.
  4. Personally i don't like Invision, I've used it before and didn't like it, i found it clunky and awkward. Moved over to phpbb as there is lots of support and mods but vbulletin is also a good alternative.

    baja 5b wheels

Desert Busters were the original on the 5T, however they will fit and can be used on the 5b. "HPI Racing Desert Buster Radial Tires are original equipment on the Baja 5T line of 1/5th scale trucks. The front tyres feature a "radial" tread design for stable steering control on a wide variety of surfaces. The rear tires that feature an "arrow" tread design for high grip on a wide variety of surfaces. The HD Compound is perfect for heavy duty performance, it's a formulated rubber blend that resists rips and tears, developed for extreme driving conditions."
  6. You could get it delivered by uk mail for about
  7. I saw this one the other day, maybe worth a punt in getting in touch with him as he ended it. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/130968052646?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
  8. I don't believe anyone was "spouting crap", yes things may have gone off on a tangent, but this is the purpose of discussion or debate. You can't control the direction a thread takes or throw your toys out the pram because it's not "perceived" as you intented. The PC is and always has been a viable gaming option, more so in many situations than a dedicated console, and as has already been cited a console is simply a PC anyway, just more as a fixed point. The other aspect is that consoles are no longer dedicated to just gaming alone, they have evolved somewhat into an all in one entertainment system, in exactly the same way a PC/HTCP, Media Centre or other such items deliver online content (Netflix, Lovefilm, iPlayer, ITVPlayer or native DVD/Blu-Ray with online requirements). Personally i think consoles should be for gaming, end of as it just hikes the price up to ridiculous levels and something which most "kids" don't need. Equally anyone focusing on any one of the consoles can make you a "fanboy" with the exception of those that can see beyond their console of choice. However that said whilst my technical preference is PC, as I've said there are other reasons why i prefer a console.
  9. Get it replaced, iit's likely a faulty starter/tube.
  10. I still agree with you wholeheartedly, although i do wonder sometimes why i don't. I use my console simply because it's easy, I can relax (in comfort) in my conservatory with my 40" LED (specifically for setup for my Wii and 360 consoles) and just be next door to my missus so I don't get grief about sitting upstairs (having played WoW for 7 years and literally lived like a hermit in my office. I did have my 360 in my office, but it became a PITA with all the wires (I used to have to use a creative sound setup which switched between PC/Console, but now it's just basic Harman Kardon speakers. It was essentialy hard to come by and at one point leading edge; DDTS-100 Decoder), plus it was only on a 24" monitor and now I'm on a 27" Dell. I too have a fairly substantial gaming rig, although it is in need of an update as I'm still running an i5 2500k and 560TI, however that said it will still play most games adequently.
  11. I'm not going to bother, if I do it will be when the price drops (significantly) or the slim version is released. The Xbox looks like some 80's video recorder, it's ridiculously sized. Never was in favour of the PS, simply because I didn't feel the playability/controller was smooth enough for me, plus PS fanbois' made it unbearable, however will be weighing up my options as things go.
  12. Well done bud Glad you got it, sick to the back teeth of customs officialls telling us what we can and can't use.
  13. Six of one half a dozen of the other. Takes around 20+ days or more sometimes to really kick in. I can't speak for others naturally, but I used to get 3-4 calls a day, so much so that i unplugged my phone for some considerable time and it was worse in the evening. After i registered I'm lucky if i get one call a week.
  14. This is the old Bridefield Forum site. Used to be a leisure centre/swimming pool site.
  15. I did think of that also, but then I just had to horrible thought about me making an absolute mess of it.... lol
  16. I'm not sure that's totally correct because each have their merits, and if anything most (real world) would go for fully synthentic rather than mineral or otherwise. I would also find it hard to believe that EVERY manufacturer of nitro engines is and always has, only ever endorsed the use of their engines with Byrons. I would also find it even harder to believe that HPI don't endorse their own product for use in their own engines.... Byrons is predominately used for racing/competition where tuning is more critical. For the most part the target audience is generally those in the competition field, however if you are also a casual user more confident with tuning parameters, then this is also suitable. Optifuel has a wider tuning band where it's less critical, but like I said though, I've used both and for me there isn't much in it based on my usage. This naturally also doesn't discount other fuels, but these are the ones most widely used.
  17. I use Byrons 16% in my Hyper and 25% Opti in my Savage, however once the byrons is gone I'm going to stick with 25% Opti across the board. Havent' seen a huge difference in the two though, but i guess it's down to personal preference.
  18. I'm running a three speed with the uprated gear and a 17T/47t bell and spur respectively. I picked up my three speed box for around
  19. Both F4.6's as has already been said.
  20. I was just curious if there was anyone else using this pipe on their savage? I only ask as the manifold that is supplied is a left side fit, obviously for a buggy (it has a straight edge on one side of the end piece that fits to the engine and would ordinarily sit flush above the roto). The problem naturally is that I in effect need to turn it upside down and the manifold now hits the roto (so the straight edge is at the top). I've shaved a small piece/groove out of the roto for the moment and its' (very very) tight, but I just wondered how others have done it. I could probably use the manifold off the tuned pipe I have, but would have rather used the one supplied.
  21. My mate did something similar a few weeks ago, only difference is the dog caught it and run off with it in it's mouth as it bit into the tyre.....
  22. @ >M< I'm fully aware of the differences between the two agreements, but my point is still valid as has been proved from my own experience of the same, otherwise I wouldn't have raised it. As far as the fact you seemingly got up the wrong side of the bed this afternoon, and your correction would have sufficed alone, then we can leave that be. P.S. written has two t's. The other aspect here is that you also have to consider why people sell off ebay, naturally it is to save themselves the 10%, so what I also see happening sometimes is sellers will charge
  23. Quite correct. But what happens in PM is between the two parties. Admins/Mods are then out of the picture. The other aspect is true too in terms of the negotiating that takes place in PM too and the cost listed doesn't neccesarily reflect the true sale.
