  1. Short answer: No... Funny that, I have cycled past the track area a couple of times recently on the way to Swinley and thought about going past it to see if it is completely overgrown etc. AFAIK nobody from the original 'users group' has been there for well over a year, so I expect it'll need a bunch of clearing & sweeping to get usable again. Its too late this year for me (don't like running the fast stuff in mud if I can avoid it). But maybe in 2018?!? BTW, do you know about the London Scale Trail Runners? http://www.scale4x4rc.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=127
  2. I don't think anyone has been over to the Camberley 'track' for ages, so it'll likely need a lot of reinstating. But I'm up for a little sweeping and shoveling to be able to thrash the ERBE and Savage around again. Maybe later this summer - Anyone else in?
  3. @1.5mm allen with hex drive: That Arrowmax product ostewart linked to looks like good kit. Another option to condsider is the "Fastrax Interchangable Hex Driver Set - Metric FAST618", as you get a set of hex drivers for your 'trail bag' etc. and can also use them in your powered driver. https://www.modelsport.co.uk/fastrax-interchangable-hex-driver-set-metric/rc-car-products/28766
  4. Lo stranger! I haven't been to the track for ages and expect there is little left of it now. But I'll be up for going back there in the summer and re-building it.
  5. @OHO: This may be of interest - Not sure about clearances on the Yeti XL, but you could probably solve any issues with axle extenders (as I did):
  6. Is the old best Class 2 scale truck tire the new best tire?!? I fell out of love with my original 1.9 Rock Beasts as I wanted BIGGER I had an affair with RC4WD Baja Claws & RC4WD COMPAS tires (both excellent, tall 1.9 tires)... But then some wishes do come true: Enter the Pit Bull Rock Beast XL!
  7. Hey Cyronn, glad to hear you are still about. Good news about the MOD land... I'm planning on going over there 'some time' to do some scale traiiling and a bit of track reconstruction as my Revo & Savage are getting bored of grass/park running
  8. Hi folks, recently I have gotten a bit obsessed with LED light buckets, so I thought I'd share ...
  9. Yup, hotel already booked for the G6 in June You should come along to a London Scale Trail Runners meet if you want driving tips - Many folks there with a lot more experience than me. Next one is on Sunday 28th February in Oxshott -> http://www.scale4x4rc.org/forums/showthread.php?t=81486
  10. These 2 videos have been a long time in the making... I hope y'all find them useful
  11. Not sure who will read this as most folks are off doing other things, but wanted to wish a very Happy Christmas all the NHB Bashers I'm planning on getting down to the track some time next year, definitely with a broom as I am sure it is a total mess... Hopefully catch some of you there in 2016.
  12. Hi Matt, yes, near Deepcut. If you're local to there, come along to one of the London Scale Trail Runners monthly meets (last Sunday of every month) for lots of scale fun Or maybe a trail round Deepcut some time?
  13. Back to the Axial SCX10 2012 Rubicon after some time!... I shot this about a year ago and have been sitting on the footage while long-term testing the new Tekin RS Gen 2 Electronic Speed Control + ROC 412 1800kV sensored brushless motor. I am loving the control, tunability and power from this set-up. It is $$$xpensive, but worth it: With over a year of trailing, lots of under water running and monthly competitions everything is still working perfectly and I am confident that the epoxy waterproofing stands up to wear & tear (more on that in the next video). I hope you enjoy the footage of the test competition course I set-up in some local woodland. I have learnt so much about driving and tuning the SCX10 over the last year - lots of videos coming up on that. Next time I will show you how I epoxy waterproofed the ESC AND motor; yes, you can make a sensored motor waterproof
  14. Final footage from the Nats in May. Sorry it has taken so long to get this edited, been distracted with a bunch of vintage Tamiya stuff recently
  15. I'm up for giving the track a good sweeping etc. and having a bash sometime before the winter... Anyone else interested?
  16. I think its an RC4WD Train Finder 2, but I'll find out from Wayne and let you know
  17. Hey folks, here are the first 2 videos of my footage from the 2015 UK Nats (comp courses video coming soon). Many thanks to the RRCi folks for organising and rcbitz.com for keeping all of us on the trails
  18. For all you scale truck folks (SCX10, Wraith, TF2, Ascender, CC-01 etc.)... My wife & I have just finished another batch of these 'G6 Style Tow Straps'. I originally made some for myself as could not find anything available that I thought was good enough and that had clasps, rather then hook ends (which fall off the rig unless you keep tension). If you are interested I can ship (PM me) or I will be bringing some to the RRCi Nationals next week: 1. Neon yellow so you don't loose them on the trail (I also have a few left in red from a special batch I did for some LSTR folks). 2. Strong swivel clasps (not the cheap nasty ones all over eBay). 3. Stitched for strength. 4. Heatshrink to prevent the strap ends chaffing on the clasps. 5. Approx. 60 cm end to end.
  19. Good choice on the Tekin FXR combo, thats a great ESC and Tekin's motors are good. If you fancy getting a winch, checkout my YouTube channel (link in my sig), as I have done a bunch of informational winch videos. Thats for sure! I find scale trailing very relaxing compared to flying round as fast as possible and regularly breaking expensive stuff on trees etc.
  20. Hi Matt, this thread is not 100% dead, more kinda 'sleeping' I'm intending on getting to the track over the summer for some runs, so will post here as/when. But the good news is that I'm scaler nutty and happy to meet up to trail round this area some time. Also checkout http://www.scale4x4rc.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=127 where you will find the London Scale Trail Runners ('LSTR'), who meet on the last Sunday of every month for a 'competition' day (its more about having fun, no prizes etc.). LSTR meet at various locations around the M25 and IMHO its a fun day out - Get yourself signed up on scale4x4rc.org and say hello. Aaaand there is the RRCI Scale Nationals 2015 at the end of this month of you fancy: https://www.facebook.com/events/1594621657433914/ this is an epic scale & trail fest Btw, which SCX10 did you get?
  21. Sorry to hear this, hey ho. Do post or PM when you fancy a bash (or a scale trail run). Good luck on your bike
  22. Here Part 2 of my winch performance upgrades (motor & free spool upgrades): Pulling like a baus now! For reference, a picture of the results is here: http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/uploads/gallery_30889_2994_663077.jpg
