  1. Hi all, kind of getting bored of car parks and the same bit of land at the back of my house. Sooooo wondering if there is anywhere else in the Derby/Chaddesden area i could venture to? I sometimes go to Markeaton Park but with the weather being so good its hard to find space! I run offroad mainly, all electric. Kind regards KingPin
  2. Unbelievable amazing eye to detail, custom r/c fabrications are normally fantastic but this is a work of art!
  3. Im a die hard tamiya fan but i cant fault the FTX Carnage. I picked up the brushless version from ModelSport and it really is a fun bit of kit, pretty nippy with the stock lipo. Pretty tough too, a work mate of mine drove it into a metal shutter door and it didnt even leave a scratch! ModelSport also stock plenty of spare and upgrades too, well worth checking the site out if you havent already. Have fun!
  4. Agreed, more moulded detail would be nice, although the Fiat isnt bad....they do look a little "boxy" especially up front.
  5. Ever thought that the guy may be daunted as he could be very new to the hobby? ? Hes probably after help and advice rather than condescening remarks, hell, havent we all been stumped and had to ask for help? Ive been in the hobby 20 years and still have to ask dumb questions... Hope you sort out your r/c problems fella!
  6. i have a lipo bag that i use to charge will that do? if we do park up then ill make sure the windows are down a bit and that the lipos are up front in the shade..... cheers
  7. hey all, im off work all next week with the missus so hoping to get out while the weathers good. Thinking i may throw an rc and some gear in my 1/1 cars boot just in case we come across some decent bashing spots.... but.....im guessing lipos wont like being in my boot while the weathers so hot? would a metal box help? what are peoples thoughts? kind regards
  8. yep, thats my charger, and just realised that i have the balance board and cable still in the box! DOH! i took all the other leads out and put them in one of my toolboxes and forgot about the others.... oh well, problem solved!.... thanks for the help guys
  9. hi all, just curious..... i have an etronix pocket charger/balancer and an etronix powerpal. Cant see where i plug the balance plug for my lipos into the powerpal, am i missing something? Will it cause harm charging using just the deans plug? many thanks
  10. glad you finally sold it fella, im with you on the postage issue, its impossible to post a chassis for
  11. hi all, been tempted by both of these for a while, id be using them for general bashing on various surfaces. I like the look of both but wondering which is making my wallet nervous! whats your verdict? cheers
  12. definately fit the alloy propshaft as the stock plastic one warps when using faster motors and vibrates against the "channel" on the chassis where the shaft sits, horrible horrible piece of junk!
  13. +1 on the boiling method, used it 5-6 times and each time a success! why throw away perfectley usable wheels for the sake of a few mins work?!
  14. yep fully charged battery, and end points are fine..re-cab does zero... cheers
  15. Hi all, recentley been giving my DF02 an overhaul after it being retired for over a year. I have fitted 2.4 radio gear but l left the rest of the elecs alone, Nosram Patriot ESC and 13X3 motor. As i fitted and set up the new reciever all seemed fine, but now my esc keeps jumping into "race mode" (forward/brake only). When i reset it to include reverse it works for a few minutes and then i lose reverse again and have to repeat... Although i have had the Patriot a while, its not seen much use. Any ideas guys? cheers
  16. checked the polarity, plugged them into my 3rd channel on a reciever and connected them direct to a 6v supply but sadly still no joy. Must have some duff leds because i cant think of anything else! Thanks for the tips though guys, looks like ill be buying some tamiya branded ones then... Cheers KingPin
  17. looking off the net, it seems these are intended for use with the Axial Wraith so maybe the Axial light unit is different to the Tamiya one? hey-ho, KingPin
  18. I cant try them off the reciever as its a different plug, and they didnt come in a packet, just a clear bag with a part number on it. They plug into my tamiya light unit fine but dont work.... Cheers
  19. Hi all, recentley bought some Axial leds from Modelsport for my CC01 but tried them tonight and they dont work... Are they compatible with the Tamiya TLU-01 unit as the Tamiya brand leds plugged into that work fine....... Same plug, so i assumed they would work? They are 1 string of x4 leds if this helps? Any advice would be great. cheers, Kingpin
