I think there is definitely a case of "bad workman blames his tools" going on
ive been sticking with the same car, fiddling with settings, what works what doesnt.
And ive gone back to 900 degrees of rotation and im actually doing fine, even pulling hand brake initiations successfully.
I have managed to dial out the nasty random snapping and also come to the realisation once you are juggling the wheel, its going to go wrong, much like it is with the real cars, you can recover if going onto a straight, but if you are mid drift you just have no where to go.
I guess its a case of practise really does make perfect but car tuning in terms of the suspension is definitely something to take into account.
as even switching to say, sports hard tyres ill start snapping all over the place and its no fun, on the right tyres and a bit of fiddling of anti roll bars etc and i can actually drift consistently, its the first time where i have sat there and gone "yup thats made a difference" where as before i was like "what the eff has that done?"
car in question? a turbo'd triumph spitfire lol, im constantly skidding at around 60mph which is what id be doing with the dual shock 3 so im happy with that.
So yea, bad workman blames his tools.
On a side note it will be interesting to see what happens when i get behind the wheel of a car again skidding more often.
