  1. Just emailed apex they say it can't be done cheaply, looking at about 4-500 pounds!! Dammit such a good idea.
  2. This is very interesting, does anyone have a link for the proper hpi conversion? Cheers
  3. Hiya, I have a savage 3.5 which is about 5 years old & very difficult to start compared to my dads firestorm, so I'm thinking about getting a new engine for it, so it's just for bashing / fun so I would sacrafice speed for reliability/ease of start/tuning. Any ideas guys? Oh I should also add I started it the other day (eventually) & it would stall on full throttle? But it's a real pig to start. Cheers, Jim.
  4. I clicked on the uk site & it still brings up usd, does it convert to gbp later in checkout? I'll check out the hpi flux I've had 4 of there cars now & have been very happy with them. Cheers
  5. I work at Wellington college & apex models is right over the road from me, tempting me every payday.!!! Thanks for the welcome guys!
  6. Hello been into rc since my dad first bought me home a beat up 2nd hand hornet, maybe 1986? Anyhow I had plenty of tamiya cars back until I sold them all about 2002. Then my cousin brings round a hpi savage in 2003 & I had to have one! Bought myself a hpi mt2 then sold it in 2008 & replaced it with a 3.5 savage, since then jr is now very interested so I bought him/ us a ftx edge, he also has a wheelie king. We're currently looking at getting a brushless lipo truggy/buggy to add to our collection, so hello from Jim & Toby ????
  7. Wow, that's cheap is it that simple to buy from hobby king then? I see it comes with a 4mm bullet connector I take it ill need an adapter ? Thanks again. Jim
  8. Lol, it sold as I was asking.. Never mind, always nice to buy new I spose..
  9. Look at this on eBay: FTX Carnage 4 Wheel Drive Radio Controlled Brushless Truck Racing Truggy BOXED http://bit.ly/XD0R6a Is the parts missing hard to get? Thanks!!
  10. Thanks for the reply, I was hoping you would say carnage ! Me & my son where watching utube vids of them last night & we were both very impressed! Can you recommend an extra lipo battery at all ninja? Cheers again. Jim & jr
  11. First off hello all, I've just got my son a ftx edge to bash about, I've had rc cars since I was his age (8) starting with a hornet, then terra scorcher, monster beetle etc, anyhow, I've got a savage I've had for about 4 years but recently I've been looking into brushless lipo as the nitro has always been a PI TA in my opinion These are my findings; Ftx carnage brushless Maverick xt strada The ftx is nice as it seems to have it all ready to go, I can add another lipo and I'm good My question is I've searched a fair bit but am I overlooking any other cars sub
