  1. FYI the link in E02 is dead (Great guide by the way)
  2. This link should tell you everything you need to know mate: https://www.tamiyausa.com/articles/tt01-vs-tt01-e-by-andrew-kuntze-415?category_id=7&type=article#.UmJtx9J6aGc
  3. Definitely put foams in, they make such a big difference!
  4. Yep, also reduces tyre ballooning but most importantly, it greatly reduces the bounce in the tyres allowing the suspension to actually do its job.
  5. If you bought the Pro-Line foams they fit the standard wheels & tyres fine without any modification.
  6. The FX10 arms will sort out the reversing issue. For tyre foams you want 2 sets of these: http://www.modelsport.co.uk/pro-line-dual-inserts-pair/rc-car-products/31994
  7. Nice summary of this chassis in your OP mate, nice fleet too!
  8. Just ordered one of the Turnigy Lipos from Hobbyking, can't wait to test it out at the weekend!
  9. Thanks, was it this one?: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=12932
  10. I've just bought a Vapex Lipo to go in my Tamiya cars with the hope that it would also fit my Lunchbox but its just a tad too long. Does anyone know of a reasonably priced 2S that will fit the Lunchbox with no mods (I don't mind what connector is fitted)?
  11. Have a look at www.miniaturemanufacturing.co.uk for shiny bits. Same guy that sells them on eBay but cheaper to buy on his site. Just make sure you email him if you order anything as the checkout on his site doesn't always notify him that someone's bought something.
  12. Rubber shielded metal bearing kit from rcbearings.co.uk should be your first mod IMO
  13. First up for sale is this 27MHz Futaba Transmitter/Receiver Bundle complete with yellow crystals (other crystals available on request) Perfect working condition, aerial is as straight as can be on a used Tx Asking
  14. Yeah photos help a lot when doing this sort of thing, if you haven't already, set yourself up a Photobucket account as that's by far the best way for uploading photos on forums. I do think 75mm shocks work better on the back of a Lunchbox (unless you have the Junfac rear suspension mounts fitted) as the 85mm ones catch on the motor and also raise the rear too high when the FX10 arms are fitted.
  15. You may be better doing what I did and making lower shock mounts out of the unused shock tower in the kit to move the lower shock mounting up and out.. Just don't do what I did by cutting off the lower corner, I should have notched it out so that it can move up or down.
  16. Did the Ansmanns come with spring spacers? You could try playing about with them if it did. Where did you attach the lower front shocks to?
  17. Mine came pretty quickly, I imagine you'll have it this week. They should have given you a tracking number?
  18. I did indeed, I originally had 75mm Ansmann shocks up front and 85mm at the rear as most people do but I ended up swapping them front to back and it sorted the sag out totally. It even made the front to rear ride height sit perfectly level which I was pleased with too.
  19. I've been wondering this myself as I recently won a complete Pumpkin body (minus mounting posts) on eBay and the parts tree that contains them usually goes for around
  20. You don't need alloy strips to mount the top arms securely, I just chopped some plastic off the unused bracket in the FX10 kit and glued it to the inside of the removable front chassis piece (the bit the bumper screws into). Once set I drilled through the now reinforced plastic with 2x 3mm holes and nut and bolted the front arms to there. With regards to the turnbuckles, the ends are threaded in opposite directions so make sure you pay attention to this as you may be turning one end in the wrong direction. Try gripping the middle with pliers too, that's what I did.
  21. Nice pics! Took my FX10 Lunchbox (as I like to call it now) to a big country park today and opened it up over some 'sweet jumps'. Am absolutely loving how it drives with the uprated front end, much more controllable when landing jumps but still bundles of fun. Need to put a decent motor in it now to match the steering and suspension!
  22. Yes I'd chop it off the rear of the arm as you need the clearance at the front. I used turnbuckles rather than the supplied arms but essentially yes you need to screw it to the front of the chassis. I would recommend strengthening the chassis first though as it's a little on thin side IMO.
  23. To be honest, after testing my Lunchbox today for the first time since fitting the FX10 arms at the weekend I wouldn't say any weights are necessary as long as you have a fairly heavy battery pack in there (I'm running a 4700 NiMh). My Lunchbox handles like it's on rails now!
  24. What shock did you use for the 5th shock just out of interest?
  25. I wouldn't say it's dead easy no, especially the way I did it but if you're reasonably capable then there's no reason you can't do it. Don't forget that the kit isn't actually meant to fit a Lunchbox/Pumpkin it's just that some of the parts are a very close match.
