  1. well i have recieved some parts of gaz this week and now have decided on a colour, im going with with ford tango red now. just about got everything i need now just waiting to get a bit better as i damaged my back last week and laid up at min but as soon as im better i will be starting a build thread on it
  2. cheers gaz ta!! i would love you to do a full package as im sort of scratching my head a bit with some of it. i got a tow hitch from rcradshape that i just fitted. i been fettling with sliders and a few other bits but im not happy with them and after searching through yours i think they are great, really impressive stuff and thanks for offering to help on how to do it. you have to trim the chassis too dont you so any help would be appreciated how much does the full package cost by the way?
  3. well after having nearly a year playing around with my dingo i have decided i want to a scale build. i have purchased a rc4wd d90 shell. im aware you need to shorten the scx10 to allow the body to it properly. i remember reading on here that some guys make the 4 way links, servo plate as well as bumpers and mudflaps etc but cant remember who. does anyone know who they were and if they still supply them . i dont really have access to the tools now to make my own. as far as the body i think im gonna go with a marine blue with white roof and a few minor repairs of filler and primer look. i have also started to make my own trailer too, so i can tow my tt01 mk2 escort rally car with. any help on building the scale d90 will be greatly received as im itching to get started with it so i can go and have some fun in the snow.....................if we get any!!
  4. i ended up using alloy wheel weights wrapped around the inside of the rim and then another row staggered over the top and cut little ridges into the foam to accomadate them. also attached a few weights to the axles that i had spare lying around
  5. lol, never thought of that i work in the motor trade too!!
  6. yeah im going to solder the wires and heat shrink them once im happy with it all. been experimenting with motors. tried a pair of old reedy motors i had 20 years ago too. i deffo need some wights for the wheels, just not sure what to use, what would you recommend. i found the extra weight is not too bad, its pretty central and does not seem to cause too much problem
  7. i found the 55t motor was a bit slow for my liking, so i purchased a twin motor plate and fitted 2 ansmann 19x2 motors i already had. speed is better when needed but still has a fair bit of torque. still need to fit battery up front. i have started using 8.4 7 cell batterys too for extra weight
  8. i have mounted it on the front and grip is better, but when i stripped it back and replaced the grease with marine grease i put the battery on the back again. once i find some better terrain im putting back at the front and making a bigger receiver box to go on the back
  9. i just recently have got back into rc after a 20 year gap and after watching hundreds of vids on youtube of all the scx10's i decided i was going to buy a dingo and start playing around with it. so far i have not had too many places to go other than a grass car park near me but once time allows i shall be hitting the bigger stuff. here are some pics from the first build. all of it was standard gear. i used a modelsport waterproof esc and an axial 55t motor in the box start of the build finishing touches finished, for now
  10. lol, most of the pics were when they were new except for the lazers which i was restoring! they dont look like that now
  11. hi all thought i would say a quick hello and introduce myself. im Clive, im 35 and in last 6 months i have decided to get back into RC. i had a good rummage around and found a couple of old rc cars in bits. its been a good 20 years since i bothered with them. after looking on the internet trying to find bits to build my old kyosho lazer zx back up, i could not believe how much stuff there was and how much the electric scene had come on. im not a huge fan of nitro. i do own a 1/8th buggy but never use it. so i decided while i restored my old stuff i would get some new kits to build. first of to get back into it i bought a tamiya tt-01 kit with the ford f150 pick up truck shell which i duly built and then modded with ballraces and a few hop up parts and brushless motor. after that i got a losi speed t which reminded me of my old ultima st truck which i loved. annoyingly it was an rtr. i prefer to build them myself. i then noticed all the rock crawlers and scale rc stuff now and got hooked. so i ordered an axial scx10 dingo. its fantastic bit of kit and i seem to be using that more than the others at min, great fun through all the mud, snow and water around at the min.
