  1. Thanks for the welcome nice to see some local members
  2. I have the one pictured below with everything needed to run including fuel, spare plug , glow stick ,radio gear, fuel filler bottle ect. Run in and only used once was to fast for my boy and I run electric. The car is only 2 weeks old looking for
  3. Im a car mechanic for a living all be it not on 2 strokes. But I would agree that threadlock will be absolutely useless on headbolts due to the thermal cycles they endure. Thing is engine harmonics ( vibrations) are funny things and can soon shake an engine to pieces. For example even changing engine mounts to harder ones will alter things a lot if the mounts no longer damper some of the vibrations it loads every thing else up and bits will start to fall apart. Is there stretch bolts available for the heads or like we have on cars you get what you call a set of arp bolts/studs that allows the head to be pulled down tighter. Like I have said not up on 2 strokes but surely you can get uprated head fixings
  4. If you get a nice smooth finish you should have no need to wet flatten it. If you do decide to flatten don't go to mad as you will soon bust through the colour.
  5. Go to a local car paint supplier they will mix the correct colour for you and will supply all you need. Dont go to halfords to have the colour mixed every colour they have tried to mix for me has been out by a mile so I use a local company. You dont want to be painting it in cold conditions outside or the paint will bloom. Dont go heating the paint up as you will then more then likely get runs as will be to thin paint them in a warm room and allow base coat to flash of before applying lacquer then leave to dry. Paint in light coats and build it up slowly Hope that helps
  6. Thanks for the replies. Mine is used indoors on carpet only. It could be used outside if the suspension geometry was altered fot it. But for what a good spec chassis and car costs I would advise not using it outside as will get scrapes and that. As for what chassis to get that all depends how deep your pockets are. Cheers Marty
