  1. Hi everyone, the wheels and tyres on my losi speed-nt are looking a bit sorry for themselves, so I priced a new set and it's going to cost like
  2. That looks like a handy wee set up!
  3. I got hold of a workbench from work so i'm going to buy a vice, a bench grinder and some other bits and bobs with the money I was going to spend on one. So what's your favourite tool? I have stacks of tools but I think my favourite is a Halfords 1/4 drive ratchet, for no particular reason, I just like using it lol
  4. Ideal, I can live with that! thanks bud!
  5. http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/cwb-r1-workbench-red?da=1&TC=RV-040317705 'What's your opinion on it? I've seen various different brands selling it and I'm thinking of getting one for doing little odd jobs on, but it perhaps looks a little flimsy? Also will it fit (un-built!) in the back of a vw golf with the seats folded down? lol Cheers
  6. This is the original set up http://losi.com/Products/Gallery.aspx?ProdID=LOSB0125&Index=19
  7. Thanks guys, the original was a sort of compound, with metal plates working like pads squeezing it to brake, almost like the opposite of a real cars set-up! Think i'll try it anyway, the machinist in work said he can knock one up if i give him some dimensions
  8. Hi everyone, i seem to have lot the brake disc off my losi speed-nt while out bashing?? The problem is sourcing one in the UK! So what i'd like to know is if i got one machined out of metal, either steel, aluminium or titanium, would that work? Also can anyone point me in the direction of a uk supplier who has one in stock? The part number is LOSA9413 Thanks guys
  9. Awesome thread, 'just spent about 45 mins looking through it! My garage has a seive for a roof, and is about to fall down so the top of the stairs is my workbench lol
  10. Thanks bud, i found the pdf on the page, and i've got a universal charger somewhere so i should be good to go!
  11. This one? http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__7028__Turnigy_Accucel_6_50W_6A_Balancer_Charger_w_accessories.html 'looks like a winner! Thanks for the advice everyone
  12. I didn't realise there was a genuine one to copy, maybe that's why it's a mystery charger! I assumed that if it's coming from Hong Kong then it must be kinda crappy anyway lol. I once got a car CD/DVD player from HK, it stopped playing cd's after a week! 'think yous are right with going to hobbyking, just wish they listed things in GBP's though!
  13. Thanks guys, that was quick! 'think i'll take the plunge and ask the wife to order me one,, i'm sure i've got a multi charger/transformer at the back of a cupboard somewhere. Only thing is i'll need to get a hump pack on the sly lol
  14. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/IMAXRC-B6-Digital-LiPO-Battery-Balance-Charger-/321068607422?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item4ac12e27be 'anyone got one of these? Is it a good buy or cheap rubbish that'll fail after a few uses? I'm on a tight budget these days so don't want to spend a forune on a charger
  15. I've been having a wee look about the web, 'think i'm going to stick with AA's for the time being until i get a balance charger. Otherwise i'd need to get a charger for the hump, unless it's a lipo, then another for when i eventually get a battery for the roto starter instead of the cordless drill i'm using at the moment!
