Never had an issue with pullstarts miself, a drill is just an extra bit to carry to the park really.

For a 10.5 I would aim for an FDR of between 6 and 7.6 but it does vary depending on weather your running boost or not.

Does the manual for the tc6.1 have a gearing chart which shows you your FDR's?

need a bit more info mate.. what car you racing, how big is the track, what motor. In my mi4 on a small track i run an 85 spur and a 22 pinion which gives a FDR of about 7 off top of my head. but on a larger outdoor track for example your gonna want to run a much lower FDR so a bigger pinion or smaller spur.

I never bought it, it was borrowed from a guy at racing, I was going to buy it from him until I came across the issue. Anyway the spectrum is amazing, although the receiver is a bit on the big side but I've managed to squeeze it all in and it looks great. Its the best mod I've ever made to my car if you can class it as that. I was only a lap behind the top guys last night and I was on dead tyres.

Cool. As long as it's got end points and expo I think I'll be happy . will let you know tomorrow. I thought the included receiver would have been a bit smaller though!

Yeah I'll drop them an email and see what they suggest and let the guy who's selling it know. But I've just ordered a spectrum dx3c, it seems to have all the functions of the Carson without the fancy screen, plus I'll get a warranty with it.

Tried a cap in the receiver and still no luck. Also tried reflashing the firmware. Will try rebinding it to the RX but if that doesn't work I give up

Nice1 , nice write up. So my issues with the twitching servo might be fixed by buying a receiver cap?

Do you think that may cure my issue? My servo is only going to be drawing the same amount of current it was when I was using my old etronix pulse setup. By the way, what do you think to the Carson reflex ultimate touch? Do you think it could be a fault on my transmitter and I maybe should throw 70 notes at it?

I've borrowed a Carson reflex wheel ultimate touch that I may be buying. I've set everything up like the end points and rates etc. But for some reason when I get near the end of the right turn on the wheel the steering servo goes nuts. But watching the screen on the tx everything seems OK . any ideas?

Yeah that does look nice for the money, I do like Schumacher though, their parts support is great and next day delivery straight from their online site can't be beaten.

Hi, I've currently got an etronix pulse wheel kit. It was only 35 quid and I'm happy with the transmitter but the receiver is massive like the old 27mhz kit. Can anybody reccomend me a cheap wheel kit that comes with a micro receiver so I do t have to mount it on top of my servo on my mi4. Unless I could buy a micro etronix reciever that would bind to my current transmitter?

Looks like they've made a fair few changes from the mi5. I do like the new body clamp ideas and that all pins are held in with grub screws for less play. I'm sticking with my cxl for now though, no point me getting an expensive car, only been at it 9 months and have regular smashes on track lol.

So does this mean a new version of the tcxx is coming out with the upgrades or do you have to buy a tcxx plus the upgrade pack?

Well you would buy an hpi sprint 2 for bashing on a car park or you would buy an xray t4 for racing. That's what I was getting at but no worries..
