    Everything to get the Phoenix running has arrived - batteries, radio and both servos, just waiting on the Fusion now.
     

    I’m getting impatient to run it now, and I’m seriously tempted to order the lower kv Fusion from the UK and have it early next week just to get the thing driving asap, knowing my luck both will arrive on the same day 🤣

      Mainly down to ease of installation, I’d ideally like to run another Revolver again though, full sized one this time and with a Copperhead on 4s

      Looked into it and the 1800 wont fit without a lot of trimming plus the removal of the end bell,  and i’d have to build the trans around the motor.

    So after nearly eight years working for Keter UK, I’ve sadly been made redundant with immediate effect.

      I’m now on gardening leave, they’re paying me until the end of the month, plus five weeks notice, plus my redundancy package - excluding this month’s pay, i’m getting just shy of £4500

    So the factory i work at has been getting increasingly quiet over recent months, and unfortunately due to budget cuts has decided to offer up some redundancies. But instead of offering it to everyone, management has gone for the warehouse staff alone, with the complete disbanding of the 12-8 night shift in finished goods, and four material handlers on production. 
     

    Oh and only given us two weeks notice.

     

    And to add insult to injury, this comes less than a month after I received my five year service bonus….

    Back in the hobby after two years away!

    My absolute legend of a girlfriend has just ordered me the new Vanquish VS4-10 Phoenix straight axle for my birthday. Downside is i’m starting from complete scratch, and on a tight budget too. At least i still get to upgrade down the line.

    Took a gamble and cancelled my backorder at Amain for the SCX10III and reordered it from a supplier in the EU, at least I won’t (well, hopefully won’t) pay customs charges, all being well it should get to me quicker too...

      Ended up cancelling that order too after a little dickie bird told me RcBitz had stock but wasn’t listing them on the website, so after a few emails with Martin, i have one due for delivery on Friday 😎😎

      I’ll be taking my time with this build, won’t be pulling electronics out of the Trail King to get it running like i did to get that going. Will be getting a motor and servo next month though, but the esc, radio gear and dig servo can wait another month after though.

    Anyone watch the rc review channel on YouTube? 
     

    I can’t take it seriously, he has someone build the rigs for him, reads the product names off his laptop or the product itself, and is grossly misinformed or outright wrong most of the time too.

     

    He also gets torn to shreds in the comments on most vids, and doesn’t even fight back, it’s like he knows he’s crap!

      He’s recently been given a load of Holmes Hobby motors and servos etc to review, not watched them yet though. 
       

      His comparison video on the 1800kv snubnose revolver and three brothers outrunner had me cringing laughibg and yelling at him lol. He’s outright wrong on some of the thing he says and his comparison was two different kv motors in two different rigs on different terrain, and the tests were crude too. Also he has no crawler driving skill whatsoever lol

    Latest RcMart purchase has only now left the country after being ordered and dispatched a week ago, hope it’s them or the postal service quarantining items bound for overseas lol.

     

    Still planning on opening the box on top of Chapel Carn Brea (the highest point in Penwith) just to be safe 😂😂😂

      Hadn’t been home when i posted that, curiously the rear inner fenders i bought off them, without realising it was them through eBay and that were ordered three days after the radio gear, have shown up.

    That’s the SSD Trail King ordered, came to £385 with postage, but as i already had £160 in my PayPal, it worked out i only paid £225 for it - only around £30 more than a new SCX10 ii Raw Builders Kit. Can’t wait to get hold of it lol

      I fear I may regret selling it, purely because it’s so extremely agile, it’s comical. First time i drove it i was in a fit of laughter, but it was almost too good to beat on, and so rarely got taken anywhere other than flat car parks and the local 1/8 track to embarrass the buggies lol

      Already having a hard time deciding what body/colour/wheel/tyre combo lol. I love the Axial JK Wrangler body with cage and hard top, but at the same time i also have a major soft spot for the Proline F100 body with a back half cage lol

    Sooo i’m finally back in the crawler game at last, just ordered an SCX10 ii Deadbolt only cost me £45 in the end with £220 sat in the PayPal from sales

      Nearly got one instead of the Deadbolt, but as i’m going to be upgrading pretty much the entire truck, the Deadbolt seemed the better option as i can use it immediately - the itch to get crawling again bit that hard lol
