  1. In my car towing a trailer there and back.... About
  2. You can but it has a max charge rate of (I think) 5A so will be slow
  3. Halifax is a bit far but I would consider delivering to Boston if you are serious and could pay towards fuel?
  4. This item is new and unused Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. Purchased as part of a kit but not needed as it's going to be brushless Looking for
  6. I used to run 6s in my truggy, I was using 100k in the center to stop the fronts unloading which worked but the result was it would back flip with anything over 1/2 throttle. It was so much work to drive that I dropped it to 4s and it's so much better. I do miss the stupid speed it had but it's actually faster on the track because I have more control with the throttle, on 6s the tinyest throttle movement would change the speed dramatically making it impossible to get the right throttle for the max acceleration. Note, I'm running bigger wheels so my 100k would be the same as having 50k-75k on stock truggy wheels
  7. No bank holidays for me either, don't even get overtime, people still eat! Even though the shops might be colsed we sill have to pack on Monday to be in store for Tuesday!
  8. I found out through experience with other models that they don't use common length belts so you can't get them from general power/transmission supplies
  9. 560mm long belt with 110 teeth makes it a T5 or 5mm pitch 560/110= near enough to call it 5
  10. My view is this... Of course TopGear was going to end. That's why Clarkson sold his shares, then it was a case of how he could get out of his contract before the series nosedived and ruined his image
  11. I have optical sensor on my 5ive and it's now packed up altogether I would like to replace it but I've got more important things to spend my money on. I've also set the temp on max as it got tiring with the alarm going off all the time, the only thing I need is the Rx voltage. A magnetic sensor would be more reliable
  12. As Tug said, if turning the motor could damage anything, wouldn't it have done it when costing to a stop? I pull my 1/8th scale 1/2mile to work with no problems. One thing I did notice is with my 5ive the lights come on when I turn the steering! That'll be the doc motor in the servo. Question: can a brushless motor generate anything over a tiny bit of voltage without a controller (ESC) to modulate the fields? Otherwise it would only produce a small +v then -v on any pair of cables?
  13. With Lipo's the last 10%(ish) of charge is very slow so why not stop the charge at 4.1v/cell? It will reduce charge times by 10-15mins but will little affect on run times. If you Google Lipo charging I'm sure I read tests that was done in the early days of Lipo's that concluded the life span increased if they was charged to a lower voltage? And to add thurther weight to the charge rate, I that over 1c will shorter its life. The charge c rating is there to indicate what the pack and be charged at without puffing/exploding. Ps. By 'life' I mean number of charges before capacity has reduced significantly
  14. OMG, I'm gobsmacked. The noise of that file was awful! He needs to get out one of his many hand guns and shoot himself in the head!
  15. So the transmitter can move the TH servo to accelerate and pull it back to neutral but not brake? If that's so then you have pressed one fo the aux switches that adjusts the brakes. On the Spektrum unit from factory settings one of the toggle switches can turn down the brake end point so you can adjust braking power during a race. Also has one for steering end points and TH/ST trim. Hit google for details as mine is a DX4s
  16. It looks like this... I believe is a mixture of two models from what I've found on google? I will measure up the shafts and post it so if anyone is able to measure theirs I know if your model is compatible Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. I thought I was the only person in the world that takes the time to clear the snow off the roof? And the Polish guys at work told me to half the tyre pressures, it makes a noticeable difference in grip
  18. Recently brought a Devil drifter from HobbyKing and already broken a front driveshaft! It broke because it has so much lock the shafts bind and chatter, this wasn't helped by them being dry. So I'm confident I can reduce the likely hood of it happening again but everywhere is out of stock. What I want to know is what shafts will fit from other models?
  19. How are you thinking of setting up three servos? If you do it wrong it will just crab steer! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. You can run 3 ESC's off 1 receiver. What you need remember is to cut the red wire on 2 of the ESC's receiver plug so only one of them is powering the receiver and servos otherwise you will get awful glitching and worst case is blown ESC's. You can run 3 servos but should consider using a power cap and/or separate BEC as the BEC from one of the ESC may not be enough? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. I've rebuilt it, fitted some slicks and found it hard to control. So with my birthday coming up I decided to buy a new chassis Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. There's a lot of question there! I will give it a go.... Mains chargers are more expensive and no good for field charging, I either clip it on the car battery or use a laptop charger(at 3.6A max) but you could use a computer power supply? I buy all my Lipo's from HobbyKing they are not the best but are good value for money. Select Lipo's from you local warehouse otherwise shipping will be very expensive and take weeks. I would recommend changing the connectors on the ESC as the battery and charger will match diff you buy the right one. A 2s Lipo will work on most ESCs but may not have a Lipo cut off so buy a couple of Lipo LV alarms and they will bleep when it's down to it minimum voltage. 2s means 2 cells in series to increase voltage. 2s2p means it has 4cells, 2 in series and 2 in parallel. These batts are charges as a 2s pack it just means that it might have a high C and/or mA rating Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
