To the OP, there was a known issue with certain batches of the 3 (mainly silver). Mine was swapped out, outside of the 12month period for the same issue. I have owned several different versions and have only had that one issue. GP were great, dealt with guys in Holland. The SD card used can also impact upon the GoPro experience. A few tweaks on the functions compared to the 2 and it has the Wifi built in so no extra bacpac and no additional weight. Just weighting on my new memory card to arrive. Phil

I would agree, the black seems the better option if you can get it! I suspect there will be a huge rush on these.

The new app has also been released. If you can handle a 2-3 sec delay then there is no need for the LCD bacpac. I have an iphone and have found it works great.
