Have you measured the speed of the Super 5 yet?

No, but it's definitely 40mph or there abouts.

  3. Looks great but just a small tip chippy, You see how on the head lights you have lifted parts on the sticker? If you get a hair dryer and heat the sticker up you can push these "lifts" out. the sticker will melt to the shape of the body shell. Really easy to do! You will then get a flawless finish. Although you have run it now, so if it's dirty then it won't work. I always apply my stickers after I dip them in soapy water. This way you can slide the sticker into the perfect position and then just just a hair dryer to shape it perfectly.
  4. 200 Subscribers. Too happy with that!

  5. I usually get about 20 minutes of racing on an offroad course. A lot more if bashing! 3s wear and tear is probably about what you'd expect. I've not worn any dog bones but I did wear out a sun gear inside my rear diff, a few bearings. General wear and tear anyway. Parts wear out!
  6. I've probably put 100 packs through my car and my club has 4 of them so we've found all the issues pretty quickly! I will try to get a pic up of mine later as it's fully upgraded, maybe even do a small video for you guys. I run Turnigy 3s 5000 mah 40c lipos. They are around
  7. Yes. Relentless bearing issues when running off road. I have replaced all with rubber sealed and it seems to have helped no end, also be careful you're not over tightening your wheel bolts, that is the primary cause of blowing your bearings!
  8. New video in the works. Gangster poses & silly sunglasses galore!

Awesome, was showing my son the vids last night and he was looking forward to taking his 1/10 SC down the pits this sat arvo, hope weather holds out!

That's awesome! How old is he? :D

Hopefully should be getting down tomorrow, I won't be using the super 5 though as the ESC still hasn't been returned yet. Running the Apache C1 :)

He is 5 and just has a Turnigy Trooper 4x4 with 2S, sometimes using my 3S. I'll take my Slash 4x4 til I get the 5SC, sold my 1/8 Nitro Monster :)

  9. Cheers Chippy! got plenty of WR8 footage on the channel. My WR8 is full upgraded but been out of action for over a month, a second motor failure which HPI have taken a long time to send back! Two snapped motor shafts. If it happens again, I'll be selling it.
  10. Yep! Done one based on Tanner Foust's Fiesta!
  11. I'll second Carl, They don't have any wheels or tyres on either warehouse currently.
  12. The hostile MX's are far too agressive for what I'm looking for, Where I run the ground has gone rock solid with a nice dusty layer on the top. The current tyres do ok to be fair, I just want to custom up a bit and get something more all roundish, namely the fronts from a 5t.
  13. 190 Subscribers!? Feels like yesterday I hit 100!

"Loud" rather than load! Where abouts are you parking for the Pits - North end on way to whiteways, south by the Oaks car park or other?

By the oaks most of the time, we do try and park down another road further towards arundel which is closer but we've been getting some trouble from a local resident who has nothing better to do.

OK, that's where I used to park then cross the road and go down a bit before entering the pits. Thx bud, will go this Sat and check it out.

  14. How many battery packs does it take to chew? Might well be that the spur is a different pitch to the old one so you will have to match the pitch with a new pinion!?
  15. I would be buying the whole rim pre fitted, So hopefully shouldn't be a fit problem. I think I will be ok with the clearance If I just get fronts all round. The sizes match what is currently on there I've seen that DDM edge trim, looks like good stuff! Currently I don't have too much damage even without it though. I'll probably fit some for more looks than anything! Thanks for that.
  16. Hi Guys, I've been looking at running some bead locks on my super 5SC flux as it comes with glued and I have come across KM wheels and tyres, I'm willing to guess these are just a clone of the HPI designs. Just wondering if anyone has run them? Any disadvantages over the HPI ones or are HPI just pricing up!? Any help would be appreicated, as always!
  17. Welcome buddy! Fellow West sussexer right here! There's plenty of woods around the arundel area and some sand pits that myself and friends run in. As for traxxas being popular, they are. Everyone tends to have their brand that they stick too. Have you bought the wrong car? It's probably a question only you can answer Welcome back to the hobby!
  18. 19t pinion will stress your motor and ESC more, having said that it has a temperature cut off where the car should stop immediately way before the point of it catching a light. Hard luck.
  19. ESC dead in the super5. April has not been my month! At least I got most of the footage I was after first.

Castle cremations at work again. Considering slapping my xl2 in, just for 6s running....they are a fantastic truck, no regrets about my purchase.

Castle cremations. That kills me everytime I hear it! LOL.

Good idea Noj, I was considering the MM2 so it's waterproof but I guess I bought this car and it's warranty covered, so may as well use it!

  20. Lets leave all the nastyness with that quote, spot on! Thanks for the rest of the constructive comments and positivity on the actual video. That's what make the hours of filming and editing worth while, thank you.
  21. I'm not denying it is a kids forum with people like you occupying it. I'm open to critique on the work at hand but a stab at people's appearances is something different altogether. You can leave a thread anytime you don't like what you see ... so please do.
  22. There's probably a limit on what you should or shouldn't say though. For example I wouldn't say that you're a ****ing idiot.
