  1. Yeah I will. I already re filled it when i first got it with 100k weight, the bolts on the back of the diff were loose then, one had almost backed right out.
  2. I have it a good once over, something is definitely grinding inside there. Power is wasting away some where - all dog bones present on the drive line and all grubs are tight. I did fear the pinion had been stripped but that's not the case. I also fear for the motor - the back of the casing the shaft is sticking out of the casing more than I remember ... in fact ... I'm not even sure it should be visible through the rear shielding! It seems to spin up fine though.
  3. It was flat but I didn't clear the double so it tank slapped really hard. I suspect one of the CDs screws has backed out! I will report back The looser the surface, the more fun! I was hoping to get one up at the weekend, obviously no footage happened!
  4. I took mine out Friday night - did 2 laps of the course and had an especially awkward landing that sent an awful thud right through the car and I now have no drive. I'm fairly certain something in the central gearbox has failed. Just took delivery of the 500k oil for the central diff. Will update with what broke when I get time to actually strip the damn thing down!
  5. Hoping to get more footage tonight and a video up early in the week. I'm doing the same in a couple of hours!! If the weather holds ...
  6. That's what I figured Noj. The burst rating isn't enough to feed it. It only tends to happen when I'm really abusing the throttle. They're 8 months old now and seen a lot of cycles though, so I'm not complaining for
  7. They do puff a tiny bit after use but then go down when they cool. They are Turnigy 5000mah 40c with 50c burst.
  8. I'm not aware of anything actually made for it, hoping this saver may be a little better though. The slop I was getting was more in the screws, like they had a small amount of room to move. My motor runs at aroun 45*C - 55*C. ESC is around 35*C and my lipos constantly hit 40*c which worries me.
  9. So I've had some cash burning a hole in my pocket ... I know I said no more upgrades but ... oh well. Steering bell crank from integy. Want to reduce the slop I seem to have got after bashing this thing to hell and back. It's not that bad - but tightening it up seems worth it when I want for nothing else! Also ordered some stiffer shock springs for the rear to see how that performs. the partnumber is HPI-86555 in case anyone is interested. I also seem to have warn out my rear sway bar balls. They no longer stay in the plastic holders for long. Will report back with any more updates!
  10. It is tough to get to with the supplied tool yes, I usually put it on and roll back or forwards to adjust the slip without removing the motor mount. Of course it's far less accurate that way though! You're far too kind! Thanks Admiral!
  11. I didn't even think you could remove the CD so no! What would the advantages be to that?
  12. It won't lift out as it has notches in the box that sit in the verticle plate. That's why one side has to come off.
  13. Depends if you've got a nice set of drivers! I reckon 60 minutes to get it out. The original is a 4 piece plastic jobby and the centre diff is right down in the belly unfortunately! The best way to get the centre box out is to remove the front and rear ends (don't worry only 4 bolts per end) and then seperate just one side of the vertical plates.
  14. I ended up completely filling with 100k at first, I've ordered some 500k to go in now to give that a try but I haven't got round to it yet! Oh. Hell. Yeah!
  15. Totally agree. I think the slipper clutch almost spoilt the explosive power it but it feels about right all in all. Jumping is too much fun in it! Glad you're enjoying it!
  16. This. I've done 2 motors. My last one took 60 days to get a replacement.
  17. Swiftly indeed! Well that's because the 5SC takes fronts at front and rears at rear which are different widths. Worth remembering the Super 5 runs fronts all round! With that in mind you could fit 4 front beadlocks but I too am nervous about what the extra weight might do!
  18. Got one more Super5 Vs. Super5 video being edited as we speak! I was thinking about beadlocks but I think they will be more trouble with popping beads! Mine have lasted really well so far! Has yours showed up yet?
  19. Going to now use this as my Super 5 upgrades and progress thread Here are the upgrades I have done so far! Integy centre gearbox Integy rear gearbox Savox 1283 Servo - 30Kg/cm - 0.13 Sec With a power cap. Integy Alloy knuckles front and rear Integy rebound piggy back shocks Front lights with pods Integy 13t pinion Hardened central drive cups Integy Caster blocks all round Integy super heavy duty camber links
  20. I went for the original HPI ones again, got a set of 8 of them off eBay for around a 5er from some shop that breaks Savages. Also picked up 2 diffs for
  21. Absolutely perfectly. I bought a full set all round just in case but I've not had a single one go in 8 months!
  22. Careful what you wish for. I tried other software that was supposedly worth hundreds of pounds but you know what? I came back to windows live movie maker. You can make it do what the more expensive ones do with a few clever tricks. Check my channel in my signature - all done with ONLY windows live movie maker. May be worth you updating it too with the latest windows service pack as you get more features and stability. I'm wildly assuming you have a legit copy of windows here.
  23. Ok so I remembered to get those topless shots for you guys! So far the integy pinion has held up great
  24. I think it depends how much it discharged. If it's not puffed I think you'll be alright - just charge it in a lipo safe bag. Sorry to hear about your burnt belly.
