  3. ok then should be ok, I have changed the carb and bloody hell its like having a new car it flies and wheelies with 4wd and no pipe now maybe I don't need to change the ring still loads of compression when hot? Plus dont know the torque setting when putting the head back on ATB Oli
  4. Check for leaks but if new unlikely so prob worth trying new or better carb as above like a 668
  5. ok thanks still not sure which one if there both good haha

  8. I am stripping my engine ect and I have two carbs, both used but in good condition. one needs a diaphragm kit one does not but that does not bother me anyway. I have a WALBRO 668A And a WALBRO 603B Look the same, The needle settings between them are not the same though. Which one would you guys recommend for performance but most of all reliability or is their nothing between the? ATB and thanks in return Oli
  9. Yea but like I say only about 1 years use really
  10. Yea i agree not sure on exact time the more I think about it the guys that had it before me probably only used it for about 3 hours then I have ran it for one year so sorry about that prob about 1 year but good running. Il go check the compression when hot now ans see if there is a difference, bearings are prob ok for bit longer as I keep it very clean Thanks Oli
  11. The ventilation is all very clean mate thanks
  12. Ok thanks guys, The clutch is fine mate as is new and with red spring already had that problem But it could definitely be the ring maybe I should replace the ring then gaskets as well. Not sure how much run time it has had, about 3 years old so will be the ring I think. Thanks allot guys is the ring as simple as I think to replace?? Just pull it off then open the new one out so it goes on like an E clip?? ATB Oli
  13. Hi guys, I have noticed that my FG baja runs better when it is cold. I always let it warm up before giving it full throttle but I notice after min at good temp performance lost, I went against my mechanical sympathy and gave the car full beans when cold and it got to higher revs allot quicker in my opinion. What could be causing this? small air leak when hot? I can't see any residue on engine suggesting a leak but have on the carb there seems to be fuel mixture leaking out of the carb where the throttle linkage comes out don't know if this is it also the gaskets were quite wet so will replace them, just checking nothing else? Also is it worth changing head gasket as I wouldn't mind giving it all a clean in there but if I should leave it as its all looks good then I will. The performance loss is barely anything but is noticeable so might just replace all gaskets and see what happens but your ideas would be most appreciated. ATB Oli
  14. Shell looks really good mate, Ive always like the stadium shell. I make my shells allot stronger by cleaning the inside very well then cover all the inside of the shell with gaffa tape little and small bits so there are no creases. Make the shell so much more stronger. Never broken, and if you do crack it, shouldn't get any worse. ATB oli
  15. Il be getting a 23cc with a pipe and redhead then blimey
  16. As said above more than likely the wheel squares. If it is then I advise to take them out and apply some threadlock so it does not happen again. Oli
  17. This is weird Luke, could there be an air leak anywear? Tried going back to base settings? And have you changed the fuel mixture at all? Must say love how it goes over things looks like it will be awesome when the engine is sorted. One last thing is everything running smooth, you can tell just try and move the car by turning the gear to see if it seems hard at all to make the beast move. ATB Oli
