Hi guys, I have noticed that my FG baja runs better when it is cold. I always let it warm up before giving it full throttle but I notice after min at good temp performance lost, I went against my mechanical sympathy and gave the car full beans when cold and it got to higher revs allot quicker in my opinion. What could be causing this? small air leak when hot? I can't see any residue on engine suggesting a leak but have on the carb there seems to be fuel mixture leaking out of the carb where the throttle linkage comes out don't know if this is it also the gaskets were quite wet so will replace them, just checking nothing else?
Also is it worth changing head gasket as I wouldn't mind giving it all a clean in there but if I should leave it as its all looks good then I will.
The performance loss is barely anything but is noticeable so might just replace all gaskets and see what happens but your ideas would be most appreciated.
