any warning that it was going to be taken away? NO. If someone was to hit it id be having a good conversation with them and coming up with a solution, wether it was taxed or not they would of damaged my property and we will end up in small claims court. If they drive off they leave a scene of accident which is 3 points.

Court even though you were untaxed and uninsured think you'd be in more trouble than them, plus the fact you drove it untaxed/uninsured when you moved it from drive to road what if you'd had an accident or run someone over?

No chance of running anyone over and as far as there aware it was pushed out. Your basically sticking up for the dvla/government LOL... Do you hand money over to them wether its fair or not?

I might be eligible for a refund as they gave no warning or notice, so hopefully I get my hard earned money back.
