  1. As title really, any body running them? Want to know if I should steer well clear or if they are a nice upgrade over stock. As good as RPM?
  2. I'd do the above, spray the hole thing with a light coat of 3in1 silicone spray (halfords) then cling film the whole lot adding the silica gel packets.
  3. I can't tell you if it's worth it or not mate, too many factors to consider with the price of a brand new KM being so low though you do have weighing up to do! When buying second hand, it would be wise to add
  4. Got a bit more done Rear end rebuild started: Rear hubs: Just the engine & gearbox left: Progress so far:
  5. Integy rear upper arms Unknown front upper arms Integy lower rear arms All used, some cosmetic marks especially on the underside of the rear lowers but all straight, no cracks, not bent & threads all ok. http://bit.ly/1gg6uWC Ball joints, bought as fitted but unused from eBay. Do not fit the above (uses the thicker 8mm thread). Unknown brand although they look identical to the integy ones mmr are selling on eBay. http://bit.ly/1sKBONM I need tons of bits to rebuild my baja so we can trade or part x. PM me.
  6. First wave of little bits came in the post today, made a small amount of progress in the limited time I have after work in the evenings. New shock boots, a lower shock skid to replace a broken one, RX box foams for a freshen up, shock socks and a sheet of ABS carbon look plastic sheet I'm going to make new windows out of: Old boots: New fitted: Stripped some bits off the rear end ready for rebuilding: Progress so far: Close up of new windows, want to cut a design or logo into the front one, not sure what to choose yet? Any ideas? : Waiting on a fair few little parcels will plod on with the rear end rebuild and update thread.

  8. Bought this last weekend, haven't used it yet, decided on a FULL rebuild first as I do with all second hand models. Seems even more important with something as large and potentially dangerous as a fifth scale Lots of parts needed for me to complete my first 1/5th project, please see my wanted ad : http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/topic/193545-baja-bits-for-my-rebuild-round-1/?view=getnewpost Right, here she is just before she became mine: Looked her over, nothing obviously hanging off or broken so I bought it Got her home and started the strip down & rebuild! Stripped the front end off, tank and RX box: Cleaned air filter foams and re-oiled inner with piper cross filter oil: Cleaned and inspected tank (all good), new fuel hose on order as the old stuff had discoloured and gone stiff (no pics). Missing a fixing post however. Cleaned and inspected RX box and servos. What steering servo is this? Any guesses? I was told it's the stock SS kit servo but I'm not so sure?: On the subject of servo's, found the horn had been superglued on! Going in the bin: Stripped, cleaned and rebuild the wheels & tyres. Few missing bead lock screws, nothing major All shiney: Set about the front suspension: Steering tie rods looked ok untill I unwound the ball ends to clean..... Bent as a 9 bob note: 1x of the below 'C spacers' lost in the past and replaced with some random washer, 1x pretty beaten up. On the look out for 2 new ones: All arm pins straight, upper arms good but stock ball joints bodged in with rubber 'spacer' one side and a bit of ally tube the other. Ball joints had tons of play and will be replaced: 1x lower arm looks like it's been hit with a socket and hammer to reduce play (scrap) : This has resulted in it being to stiff, other side has too much play. Going back to standard arms for now, 3x were included in sale. Onto the front shocks: The crap that came out of them (in the egg cup pictured) smells like 1:1 engine oil! Piston one side was 3 hole, 2 the other. Grrr. Rubber boots perished (probably due to the suspected engine oil) got new ones off the bay for
  9. eBay?? http://bit.ly/1l27R7F Edit: Hebby! Shame on you poor little TS4N
  10. Selling one of my TS4N's because I've made it so mint I'm afraid to use it no point it just sitting there on the shelf. I've lost count of the number of TS4Ns that have passed through my hands (6?) this one has had the best parts from all of them fitted to it. It has: Upgraded alloy steering rack and turnbuckles HPI Nissan Skyline shell, in tamiya gunmetal. With wing mirrors. BBS chrome & Gold drift wheels & Tyres Acoms As17 servos ARB's Alloy steering servo arm Sabattini chassis plate (cost
  11. Prefer the answer RC black shoes to the Hong Nor reds personally. I use answer rc - shoes/bells/fly
  12. My bet is they are 5x12x4 An RC only bearing apparently, had to get mine from china, they took ages too. Answer RC 15t+ amongst others.
  13. I've just finished a litre of 20% monster basher then went straight into some 20% Byron's.... Did the initial retune, got it spot on. Byron's seems a *tad* nippier but I was constantly fine adjusting. The VP on the other hand was stable as hell. Going to put some opti race through it in a bit.

  15. The factory settings for this engine are correct (although out of box settings were wrong) when using the fuel and plug combo I mentioned. A full turn is 360 deg. Anthoop is right (as usual ) just looked at my LSN needle and it's 0.5-0.7mm out from flush.
