  1. 1/16th 4WD Class Carisma's Phil Sleigh won the 1/16th 4WD title at this years UKMicroX 2010 event on his first competitive outing with the new Carisma GT14B Pro! Congratulations to Phil, and hopefully this is the first of many trophies that the GT14B secures with the BRCA Micro Nationals fast approaching! 1/18th 4WD Class CML team drivers Keith Robertson and Wes Myles took first and second place respectively with the new Rc18B2/T2 with Associated team driver Phil Sleigh battling his way back to 5th after getting tangled up early in the race. Rounding out the top 3 was Nick Snelgrove who took his RC18T2 truck to third at his first competative micro RC race! Chris Leighton qualified 2nd but finished 4th which locked out the first five places to the new Associated car! 1/16th 2WD Class Craig Harris and Mark Williamson took 1st and 3rd places respectively with the new Phat Bodies Chunk C2 whilst Thomas Graham took 2nd with a homemade 2WD creation! Carisma GT14B

No firm idea on price, but if I had money to bet I would wage that it would be cheaper than the competition Electrics, micro sized motors (370/380 etc) and I think the servo would class as 1/12th sized (im at work now so have no measurements to hand!) If you are near Leominster in Hereford on Sunday 8th August come along to Bridge Street Leisure Centre and watch the UKMX event! You'll see all three GT14's plus about 70 other micros racing indoors then

    Carisma GT14B

Hey mate, Both cars are currently in the "pre-production" stage so specifications ofthe cars we have here in the UK could change depending on how our testing goes over the coming weeks. Trust me CML want nothing more than to finalise the specs of both cars and get the word out to all, but we need to wait till atleast after the UKMX event first As soon as any news becomes available you know which websites to look at

  7. Sponsored by: UKMicroX 2010 On Sunday 8th August 2010 I will be hosting the long awaited 'UKMicroX 2010' event at the Hereford RC Club's venue in Leominster, Hereford. The UKMicroX 2010 event will be run to the new 2010 BRCA Micro Section rules which allow both 1/18th and 1/16th scale micro RC's to compete in separate classes! This is a massive change over the last years BRCA Championship where previously both scales of cars would run in the same Championship and is the perfect show case prior to the 2010 National Series for drivers and manufacturers to show off their skills and equipment prior to the Series starting in October. This will allow cars such as the Associated RC18T/RC18B/RC18T2/RC18B2, XRAY M18T, Losi Mini-T, Thunder Tiger ZT2, EXOTEK TEK18T/TEK18X/MXT and Maverick Atom etc to race in their own 1/18th class for this year. The likes of the LRP Shark ST, EXOTEK MXB/LXT, Losi Mini LST and the three cars that I believe will be released this summer will all be able to battle it out in the 1/16th class. We have raffle prizes donated by CML Distribution, Team Associated, FTX, Carisma, Schumacher RC, JC Racing Products, X-FactoryUK, EXOTEK, Phat Bodies, Frogger Products, RCRacer, Traktech and afew others are in the pipeline! We also have secured Radio Race Car magazine, RACER magazine and oOple.com as media sponsors for the event who have all agreed to promote the event prior, during and after! If you are a manufacturer or distributor and would like to sponsor the UKMicroX 2010 then please email [email protected] as soon as possible to discuss this further! Entries Entry to the UKMicroX 2010 event is COMPLETELY FREE!! Thats right, the UKMicroX 2010 event is the first ever major micro scale free event of its kind anywhere!! The UKMicroX 2010 event will run an invitational entry system as per "The NEO Race" and the upcoming "oOple Invernational Race" with an emphasis on all abilities, ages and vehicles entered. Fill out the entry form that can be found at the link below and email it to [email protected], you will get an email confirming your application for an entry and I will be in touch with all the successful applicants soon to confirm their places!! Entry form: http://www.uk-microrc.co.uk/ukmicrox2010/docs/ukmicrox2010entryformfinal.doc There will be a maximum entry of 80 drivers (100 vehicles) spread over all four classes. The UKMicroX 2010 will run to a modified version of the 2010-11 BRCA Micro Section rules and will be released soon. If you have any questions or wish to discuss options further then please email me anytime. I am more than happy to answer any questions, I just want to pull this event off and make it the best event I have ever organised! 10. Hoss is a king amongst men, and if it wasnt for people like him we wouldnt have bashes to attend... Or if you think Hoss is hogging all the limelight "Up Norf", you could always try finding land to organise a bash on, promoting that bash across the interest, building up your reputation across the RC fraternity.....but I doubt you'd do as well as Mark does

Speak to Keith Robertson at Microtech. Hes racing at the Micro Nationals, and Microtech are not afraid to stock, or order, micro parts. Contrary to other advice, you can use a 13.5 at the Nationals, not just the 10.5, youll find quite a selection of top level drivers using the 13.5 over the 10.5 Hope that helps? Cris
  13. Oh Mark, you're making me blush now Ill deffo have to try and catch up at some point. We dont often travel 'Up Norf' cos Northerners seem to be scared of micros ( ), I spend alot of my time in the Midlands at the moment (for better or worse!) Take it easy fella
