  1. If i were you i would break it in with what you intend to continue to use, Breaking in with lower % nitro wont make any difference except youll have to fart about retuning slightly !
  2. Im still gonna buy an Acoms set, im under no illusion that its not gonna be cheaper feeling than the far superior spekky but if ya cant afford over double the price for 2.4ghz then its a good system as far as i can tell i havnt used either by the way im going on what others have said. If anyone feels the need to donate a spekky set (old new borrowed, but no blue ones please ) then i would be more than happy
  3. I'm gonna get the Acoms set as soon as they come back in stock, typical, as soon as i want one there sold out !
  4. Damn you lot with your Micro receivers !!
  5. As per title ... Why do they bloody make the radio box's on RC cars so damn small ?? I've had experience with 3 models, a Hyper 7, Savage 25LE and a Revo 2.5 and every model has always has stupidly small or awkward radio box's ! Is it too much to ask for a decent sized box that would allow you to put a normal sized Rx, hump pack, failsafe and all the servo wiring into ? I know once there shut, you can generally leave it that way, but more often than not, you struggle for 30 mins trying to get it all crammed back in and get the lid shut before you discover that you left a wire out or plugged the wrong servo into the wrong channel !!!!!! </rant>
  6. Heh better than my Italian too, although for some reason i couldnt help but read that in my head with a Borat voice ! Anyway ... best of luck finding it, how old is the model anyway ?
  7. Think youll have to wait a little longer, seems most shops have it on order from their suppliers.
  8. Cheers for the heads up ! i wont be using this shop thats for sure ! Sounds like they have a habbit of listing items when there not in stock, which is never a good thing !
  9. Wrong section mate should go http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/index.php?showforum=8 But anyway you'll be very very lucky to geta complete setup for
  10. My ass ziggy lol ! You shouldnt leave fuel in the car because nitro absorbs moisture so wont last long if not sealed, which is also why if left in an engine, would cause it to rust. Now fingers crossed its not corroded anything but i deffo wouldnt say it depends on which fuel you leave in lol My mate left a dribble of fuel in his fuel bottle and it turned a horrible thick brown colour, a few splashes of fresh nitro got it out though. If i were you i would change the fuel lines and do as huggy says and flush the entire tank/engine out with new fuel.
  11. have you got a hump pack ? failsafe ? Temprature gun ? If so then why not save a little more and buy a 2.4ghz Tx / Rx instead?
  12. the noise is an air leak from somewhere, could (and most probs) from the glow plug, if it is the glow plug dont worry too much just tighten it a little more, if not then you need to test for leaks on the back plate (under the pull start) the carb inlet, front bearing etc etc Ohh the pull start slipping is a common thing, and like Indie says usually from oil leaking down the back onto the shaft, spray loads of WD-40 on it, it usualy clears the gunk off and enables the OWB to bite better.
  13. Pistol Tx mate says so in the specs

holy crap that scared the crap outta me ! im amazed at how fluid its movements are ! I think by looking at that in the next 10 years were gonna have those things running arround a war zone. Can you imagine coming face to face with one of those with ED209 weaponry ! ohh dear !
  15. You posted in the wrong section really, should be in the petrol section or perhaps the general section, this is purely for items for sale. But anyway no-ones gonna lock you up for it As for buying from the states, i would advise that you dont ! chances are that you WILL get hit for customs charges as most things from america will do nowadays. Not only the customs charge though, the warranty will be void as its outside the states . If i were you i'd shop arround a few UK sites as its the best option. P.S. dont be scared to ask questions, most of us are here to help Ohh and a mod should move this thread pretty soon anyway so no need to report another thread.
  16. Lol should we re-title this thread "*** SPOILER *** Hacking MSN" Like huggy says its easy when you know how, choosing obvious passwords / secret questions is never a good idea, but always try to use at least 6 characters for a password with upper, lower case letters and numbers in the combination. One of my passwords is a CD key for a bit of software for the PC which is **************** digits long I work in a PC repair shop and you should see some of the passwords that come in ... latest funny one just today infact ... "bubblebutt" which is quite funny, but what made it better is that the woman had a fine ass to match her password The most common password i see is "rangers" but you can replace that with the "subjects" favourate football team.
  17. physical size ... either a stick pack or a hump pack, for a hyper .. the stick packs are better fit but the humps will be fine too checkout my "Noob FAQ" sticky for links to two on modelsport.
  18. Yeah 4 cell setting. 4x AA batts are 1.2 volts each (rechargeable ones anyway) so that 4.8v all together 4x AA Alkaline (duracell etc) are 1.5v per cell so thats 6v but they wont last too long, your best to avoid using Alkaline. in fact using 4xaa rechargables isnt ideal, you should really get a hump pack which is 6v as there are 5 batts at 1.2v
  19. nice videos there mate, ive seen that last one before a while ago, really amazing how he does it, thats years of experience though.
  20. completely black sounds like too rich mate. Has it been run in ? tuned it much ?
  21. Just a note ... The Lama is a 4Ch model so you get all functions in a normal heli just loads more stability, perfect for indoor flight. Check www.rcgroups.com its an american based site but dont let that put you off theres a load of info there, mainly about air RC
  22. T-Rex are great helis, very well built but i wouldnt advise you to buy one as youll smash it to bits on your first go. Get something like an E-Sky lama (robins) or something, there electric and have 2 main rotors, which make them stable as hell in the air but there still fun to fly. there sometimes called coaxial helis (i think) http://www.buzzflyer.co.uk/RC-Helicopters/...ma-V4/p-70-626/ Cheap as chips and worth the pennies. I have an older version of the same heli and its great. I stated off with a larger single rotor heli and promptly smashed it into little pieces
  23. No point swapping the steering servo if you having probs with the throttle servo anyhoo like has already been said, its either the teeth on the servo horn or as hyperhuggy says, the servo gears. , you should be able to see wheather the teeth on the horn are worn easily though.
  24. I'd be tempted to buy it if it was unlocked but as far as i'm aware you need to physically send them away to be unlocked ?
  25. Ohh the tuning ... run alot more than 3 tanks through before tuning, more like 8 or 9, theres plenty of guides on tuning though but dont rush the break in, its the most important.
