you tighten it up till it dont turn no more then just undo half turn leave the thread lock over night to dry when applied

yes sorry as nitoholic explains i meant to say the nylon lock nut that holds the spur gear on when you take them off a few times they get weaker grip so either replace or apply tread lock

This happened to me it was the nylon screw coming loose so i put thread lock on and problem solved . neil

Hi all thinking of getting a hpi bullet mt or st for bashing whats your thoughts on any of the two or is there something else i need to look at around bullet price thanks neil

thanks for the replies but why would it change to 2nd for the first 5 to 10 mins of running then stops changing could it be the clutch shoes might need changing the tune is good and the gear change usually changes at about 10 to 15 feet so its not changing straight away

Hi all i am new to nitro at the age of 37 i have a savage x 4.6 which i have owned for 3 months everything was fine till i started to notice sometimes it would not go into 2nd gear usually after about 5 mins of running if i set off slow and build up speed it would be ok but if i hit full it seems to not change like i said the first few mins it spot on no matter what i do? any advice welcomed thanks neil

Im a newbie and just bought the one in the link above only had it 3 days and already scratched the cooling head with the protector on the shell is battered but it has took everything thown at it great car love it.
