  1. Ahh didn't realise it was to fit the standard filter, I thought all stacks were for other filters. That'll be ideal then!
  2. That would be handy! Is there a aftermarket filter that works as good as the standard one? Most filters seem to get bad reviews for some reason
  3. Silverback beadlocks turned up, thank God I don't have to do these by hand I was demented just doing the rears when I belted them, horrible job! Also done the cage mod which is a life saver, especially since fitting the windows made it more of a pain to work on.
  4. Had a short bash today, ran mint and broke nowt only lost a body pin off the cage. Chuffed with the 5t undertray too, I pulled out about 3 blades of grass compared to the handful I used to get. Rear tyres are a bit meh but it was soaking wet, I'll wait till they wear down and I may try something else. And cleaaaan
  5. can someone confirm that these KM's come with genuine walbro carbs now? Heard a little rumour but i don't know if its true, I've had a quick look at the carb and the only markings i can see are WT997. Its also PAYDAYY so i may order some silverback beadlocks and other odds and ends
  6. I wont be touching the engine until i'm totally satisfied with everything else or it dies, at this very moment i want to focus on reliability and strength
  7. out of stock in all colours shame because £4.50 for the pair is an absolute bargain I may fire off an email and see if they're getting any more stock
  8. Good call on the shock brace, forgot about those!
  9. Had a bit of a tinker this afternoon seeing as some shiny bits turned up. Alloy clutch housing fitted 5t undertray fitted and shock cables fitted all round I MAY actually get some running pics this weekend, haven't been out for a while due to the weather but i'm just going to be brave and take it out regardless I'm not sure what to do next, suggestions?
  10. Love it I think i'll have to make some of those rear mud guards How do you find those tyres?
  11. The bolt mod is a nice easy one thats definitely worth doing. Take off the clutch bell and pinion Find a slightly longer M4 bolt and locking nut Thread the new bolt though the rear of the clutch bell so the thread pops out the pinion side Pop the pinion back on using the nut to secure it It allows you to remove the bolt when it inevitably snaps
  12. Been making some chassis mud guard protector thingys, I HATE the holes in baja chassis'. little bit of 50mm plastic angle came in handy, fits like a glove Sod paying £15 for ready made ones.
  13. I do prefer to run a undertray, few of the lads i bash with run the 5t one and up to now its been alright, if it's crap i'll just bite the bullet and run without like i used to Gotta wait longer for shiny parts and i'm not sure if anyone will be bashing this sunday, might have to go alone
  14. They should be spot on cheers I only need them for the odd few laps on tarmac so i don't need anything too expensive. Ordered some goodies today, Swingy P shock cables, alloy clutch carrier and a 5t undertray and engine guard as it looks like a much better design than the 5b one.
  15. Thank you The engine is staying as is for a while, I'm actually quite impressed with it! Power is pretty good and it hasn't left me thinking i need more, but no doubt it'll get a new heart in the distant future! Next on the list is to sort an undertray, I always seem to rip them apart when running on grass, hence why it isn't fitted at the moment. I ran my last Baja without one but it made a mess of the rear chassis and bolt heads which made maintenance a pain. I'm thinking about cutting the pointy side pod bits off so its the same shape as the chassis and hopefully it wont get caught on grass anymore. future bits include: Silverback V3 beadlocks Lexan chassis side guards shock cables outerwares clutch carrier possibly front shock tower mounts as i have a habit of breaking those for some reason a set of spare wheels with on-road tyres as one of our bash spots has a brilliant banked oval track I was thinking about painting the body too
  16. Clutch bolt mod is done! I'm going to order a carrier soon, i meant to order one when i ordered my windows but i completely forgot! I noticed the brakes were dragging a bit so I investigated and noticed the holes on the pad were very tight on the pins causing it to not move free, I've filed the holes slightly bigger and added some springs and the brake is spot on now. Got my RPM bumper and windows today.
  17. I believe this is the one! http://www.rcmodelz.co.uk/alloy-spur-gear-holder-517.html
  18. Thought that may have damaged the pinion, worked lovely
  19. Just got my mitts on another Baja so it would be rude to not pop a thread up, it's a pretty much boggo standard KM 002C at the moment so don't get too excited Comes with all the fancy doo-dah thicker braces which is nice, came with a bag full of spare ones too which is even nicer! I've added an IRC chassis brace and i've got an RPM bumper on order. Brake fuel pipe mod is done and i'm working out a way to get the pinion off to do the bold mod, i don't have a spare pinion to jam in. I'm proper happy with it, KM quality seems to come on leaps and bounds since my last one. Rear shock brace must be twice as thick as before and its well screwed together. piccys! I'm gonna repaint the body soon, i fancy a Senna/McLaren/Marlboro scheme, we shall see! I'll keep this updated as things change
  20. started looking for another crawler and ended up with a Baja, same thing really

  21. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272069700604?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 3racing sakura xi sport chassis and brushless system. The chassis was purchased as a kit and built by me to the specs in the manual, it has had 1 outside run (10 minutes only) and I have not used it since as I prefer rock crawlers. There are some marks to the bottom of the chassis but nothing at all major. This car is extremely quick and handles brilliantly, it is regarded as one of the best chassis you can buy in this price range. The electronics were all bought new when built so they only have 10 minutes of run time too, it was ran on 2s Lipo. PLEASE NOTE the receiver shown in the photos is not included, no transmitter or receiver are included. I added the upgraded floating servo mount and aluminium wheel hexes when building. Specs are: Turnigy trackstar 10.5t sensored brushless motor Hobbyking x-car sensored esc Brand new savox sc-1251mg servo Brand new sweep racing soft compound slick tyres Body posts are uncut NO bodyshell, receiver or transmitter included
  22. Had to give in and buy a new servo seeing as the Power HD decided turning left was the only option. I went for a Savox SW-0231MG, should be fine when playing submarine
  23. Traxxas X-maxx looks tasty

      RCbutcher

Wow that is one rc that's made me regret my rally I really really like this. It'll have faults for sure but upgrading is the best part with traxxas. When the video started and he flipped something in the bed I thought it might be petrol.  That would seal the deal a savage octane killer. But then the octane killed itself lol.

  24. 6 month update I've gave this thing death and not a single piece has broke or let me down, the servo is starting to get a bit slow but after having the whole truck completely submerged in a river on more than one occasion, and considering its not a waterproof servo its not so bad! I bought some SSD rims as the steelies were an absolute pig to mount the pitbulls to, i've just filled with with some CI lil'nova foams today. I made a lower profile front bumper and took off the rock sliders to aid ground clearance a bit and it has worked. The body is battered but i like the look
