This is one of the worst looking models I've seen in a long time and that price is ridiculous.

Traxxas create a "family tree" with all their innovative chassis releases, they design a modular chassis that can then be reshaped to various model types (Truck, Shortcourse, Buggy etc). Even 15+ years ago with the 2wd chassis, Rustler, Bandit and Stampede. Then again with the 4x4 chassis, It's quite smart, from a business/efficiency stand point.
This might not be the last "Maxx" model we see in the next 5 years. Maxx Bandit? Maxx Rally?....

It's a HSP Tyrannosaurus.
Nitro model converted to electric, interestingly looks like an old purple can Feigao motor which were excellent budget motors back in the day.

I do wonder what the center drive shaft is like though as I always had issues with that on the Slash 4x4, it would split at the ends, I can't imagine making it longer would improve anything.
-
If I was to get another RC it would be this!
I really like the look of it and on a Slash 4x4 extended chassis, it's a big thumbs up.

The only way to really know how much Kev makes is if he transfers it all to my bank for verification.
I am happy of the contrast Tomley and Kev have, I watch them for different reasons. I would like to see both spend more time in new places though, particularly with Kev it gets monotonous taking XYZ car to the same skate park. There's some amazing locations out there to go crawl/bash an RC. It was refreshing when Tomley went to the beach, even if it was to pick up rubbish.
Tomley has made really good use of the space in his unit with the floor space and tracks, certainly makes more use of it than Kev and will be super useful in the wet and dark winter upon us. Please don't rack it out as storage!

Interesting youve said that. Im the opposite. I get times have changed, but I always considered AE the upper echelon of RC, a stalwart of the race track. However their last few releases seem like they couldve been straight from Ali Express. Its like Ferrari releasing a city car.
I'm the same, I think Associated could of created a whole new brand here.

If these can handle a 2S or maybe even 3S system without any transmission upgrades they'll make a great car. The Arrma 1/10th 4wd mega models are a bit of a false ecomony with the cheaper transmission compared to the BLX models.
EDIT:
I wonder if a SCT version is coming with those extra mount holes for nerf bars maybe?
Good observation. No idea what the top holes are for, unless they've removed something for this photo.
I think the bottom holes are more for air / drainage in the battery chamber? -
Thanks guys, I can't recreate the issue easily as I don't have a Mac, it does seem a Safari related issue.
If it does happen, can you send me a screenshot please?
@James.S I'll look at this on the weekend.
