If the mounts are the same as the kyosho I run the proline flo-tek body on mine but I reinforced it with gaffa tape around the mounts and usual damage areas mate
Is there a good supplier of parts for the sc6 Charles?, I find most of my spares for the sc r have to come across from yanky land......and I get spanked on taxes every time :-(
The big bore velvet shocks are superb you won't be dissapointed
Nice!. I race it's predecessor, the scr and love it but the rear motor configuration is a handicap on astro.
Have been pondering over one of these but can't justify the cost
Got an x1 crt sitting in my garage that I bought to repair, the previous owner butchered the chassis around the engine mount area but the rest seems ok and it has the later threaded big bore shocks fitted. Can email pics if it's of interest

Mark I converted my old scrt10 to run 3s,apart from it been ultra quick it turned a reasonable handling truck into a bag of wheelying scrap that used to shed tyres off the rim frequently!. Never had a tyre rip apart like that though
I've had repeated breakages e.g rear hubs, hinge pin mountings from what I'd class as minor crashes on the kyosho so done the same as you and upgraded to alloy mounts/hubs etc and that's on a far more expensive kit than the turnigy. Although I really like the kyosho I wouldn't class it as bombproof
Are you after Losi eight parts or mini 8ight parts as your title states mini 8 but your post says 8ight parts?
If it's mini 8ight parts I may have some parts you want, let me know what your looking for
Steve
I run a hobbywing 35a esc in my carisma gtb micro and know thats good kit and already have the program card to suit so it would be ideal but i'm open to others views
Hi folks managed to kill my turnigy 80a esc today at a race meet so been having a quick look at replacements.
Found a hobbywing 80a waterproof esc that seems to tick the boxes

Its going in my kyosho 2wd sct and i'll be running the following 540 can motors 3300kv 4250kv & 5200kv dependant on the track but i'm a bit worried about the upper motor limits stated in the add as i think its not capable of running the 5200 motor(although my turnigy esc came as a combo with this motor)
Any advice on this esc or an alternative thankfully received
Cheers
Steve
Those batteries should give 50amp constant supply and probably around 70 amp burst, what were the ratings of the turnigy lipo's you had? Actual weight of the battery means nothing mate
Sounds like the slipper is too loose, the slipper should only operate for the first few feet from a full throttle standing start.
The txt+rx may be bound correctly but that has nothing to do with esc calibration, calibrating the esc allows it to store full throttle and brake end points and the neutral position, instructions on how to should have come with your combo
