    abbots RC?

Morning all, just a quick query, went to place an order with abbots rc yesterday (all be it on my phone) got through to checkout to pay and got an error message, got home and used laptop and the site seems to be temporarily closed! I understand why as states on there home page but does anyone have an idea when they will be back up and running again? Need some new tyres and can only seem to get then from them.
  6. there are a few available from UK sellers on the bay. i have the KM 002ss and apart from a few minor issues it is a great buggy as and when thing eventually break il do a direct replacement with HPI parts as all are 100% compatible with the King Motors

  8. Once i get home from work Il put a pic up so you can see how its fitted
  9. The spring i used was part number HPI 86356 have a look on ebay, think they was something like
  10. i use one on both my savage's so if for any reason the fail safe doesnt return to neutral then the spring will pull the carb closed and the truck will come to a steady stop.

  13. think the snow is gonna stop anyone from getting over to the track today but im still gonna be taking my cars over the field out back and mack some tracks in the snow just so i can see how they perform lol
  14. anybody going down to the Orton BMX track this weekend? if so what day and time lol
  15. Hopefully you will have yours up and running ok as well
  16. The spark was cracking with the new plug! But then for some reason there was no spark, tried the old plug and was ok and my mate hasn't got a clue as to why the brand new plug is as dead as a doornail lol no spark through it whatsoever! As normally a spark plug only dies like that when over heated and we barely even got it idling with that one lol confused the hell out of us for a while lol but its all up and running now and am now smiling again
  17. Not got a clue lol it was off my other car and have never looked at model number sorry, but had the same prob on both of the KM carbs, we still cant work out why the brand new plug is dead!
  18. jsut wanna say a BIG THANKS to Matt Bean for popping round to help get to the bottom of this problem. it is now running sweet as a nut! we have had the engine out looking at all the seals, timing has been reset and had no problems or faults there turns out it may of been a combination of a couple of probs 1 the cheep KM carbs and a dodgey HT lead and plug as swapped the carb with the walbro from my other car and the plug from my other car as the new plug i got is dead! and with a little bit of tuning fired up straight away and now runs great! so might have it out over the track next weekend. just need to get hold of another walbro carb for my other car now lol
  19. as far as i know he had it running fine, only got rid of it as he's working all the time and not got time to use it. is it still worth taking the head off? Or as now all the crap has come out the exhaust does that give you all better view on a solution?
  20. Lol, she wasn't overly happy at coming home from work and the dining table covered in car! Lol so what's the solution then?
  21. right, before i take the head off, iv'e taken the exhaust off as someone suggested and a load of black liquid had just poured out! have looked inside the head and the top of the piston is black and the inside of the head looks ok
  22. give me about half hour or so and will get that sorted, when it comes to putting back together, will i need new gaskets? just i can get some on order ready if needed
  23. beleive me mate i have tried every combination on the l/n and idle screws! i have a very big hammer in my cupboard that im very tempted to use soon if i cant get it running right but the Mrs wont be happy if i do that lol
  24. if the idle screw is all the way out it wont even attempt to start have tried l/n at 1 1/4 out as thats the base settings for carb. it just dies without touching anything or when just about at WOT, when its idling its fine for a few mins then revs just drop off and struggles to keep going then dies. plug is a dark brown
