  1. HI Does anyone know where I can get spares for this truck (Carson Desert King) I have snaped off all four body posts... Cheers Chris
  2. Excellent thanks for your help I will get some and give it a try...
  3. Hi Guys, I have been a way for a while, so I have read with interest all your comments etc... I have a question and one that is causing me a headache..... the cog on the motor keeps coming off, so I have to strip the thing down and tighten the grub screw again... is blue locktite my only option to solve it?... (I may also change the idler as suggested above.).. I have also had to replace the screws that hold the motor in place, they kept coming lose, I put longer ones in and added a washer, seems to have stopped that issue for now... I have to admit I am getting fed up of stripping this thing down, (bit of an expert at it mind though now.)
  4. get some pictures of the cat on here mate. :)

  5. Hi guys, A bit of an update for you, I finally got around to fitting dual shocks on my Savage XS, the results are that it looks cool, but the ride is too stiff and bounces about alot more.. As a result or maybe just bad driving I have had to replace a lot of parts... front suspension arm Metal rod holding the arm in place bent both metal holders holding on the suspension arms, (managed to bend them back again) motor housing split at the motor end, so will need replacing at some point rear skid plate, split, so will need replacing - thinking of the t-bone skids as an upgrade etc still have issues with the screws holding the motor in place... they came lose again, had to remove washers to get them back in. motor pinon came lose, had to retighten the grub screw. Note about batterys 2s-4000Mah, I get about 20 minutes 2s-2000Mah about 5-10 minutes. 3s-200mah about 5 miutes, or broken the car before I finished using it. Ran all three batterys one after the other with no issues heat wise etc. motor was hot but not that I could not touch it etc. Last thing, even with all this, I am still loving the Savage.
  6. It was 3s, but I never really got up to full speed... carpark not big enough... A few of us went out last Sunday and tried two savages on 3s, they looked a lot quicker, but we had a lot more room, still managed to hit a curb though, popped off one of the turnbuckles, but that was about it. Very please I didn't have to buy yet another part
  7. Hi sounds like you are having a bit of bother there mate... hope its all sorted now for ya I tried to get to the top speed but kept running out of carpark a group of us are out this Sunday and we are taking the camera, so all being well we might see this little beast of full pelt... Next of my shopping list is some new centre cups and a wheelie bar.
  8. Hi changed them completely for new ones I got the other day, so they are all set the same now :0 thx One the lack of quality so far these were wrong out ofhte box. 1. battery lock at the rear was way too loose 2. rear shocks set to a different size 3. motor way loose, never noticed until one of the screws chewed up the idle gear.. Still a great little truck though and most issues are now resolved and I have had a few weeks without incident. Oh I have posted some vids on youtube if anyone would like to take a look.
  9. Hi guys, Well I found out why the Savage wasn't sitting right at the rear... I took the shocks off and they are different sizes, so thats a few things now that this little savage had wrong with it right out of the box..... not major issues, but a bit disappointing http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/14720-shocking-shocks/
  10. Thanks for you comments, I will take the shocks off and have another look... on the dual shocks though, I was thinking more about the bling and to look like its bigger brothers but at
  11. Ok I have a question I hope you can help with. Looking at my savage xs from the back the left wheel is lower than that of the right, I have had a good look and can't think why, has anyone got any ideas? Also has anyone though about putting dual shocks on the rear?? See pictures of them all http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/member/25588-blam-man/
  12. Hi mate, great video, thanks also for the link..
  13. Oh right ok, thanks.... Where did you get the t bone set from? the same link as above, couldn't find them (must look harder )
  14. Thanks for the post, I will check out the wheelie bar. just one question have you attached the wheelie bar to the savage bumber or a t-bone one?
  15. Like the sav Slugsie mate, looks awsome... really like the t-bone... I managed to trash mine again the other week, lost a dog bone and a suspension arm and pin... got replacements, so its all back up and ruinning again now... ? for you all, I would like to add a wheelie bar to mine and have seen a number of options, Hpi's own or a traxxas 7184, whats on your?? I would also like better tyres with better grip, any ideas? (what are the ones you have on like?)
