  6. simple way to tell which model/spec engine have is by the shaft on back plate: if able to be pulled out with just pullstart removed you need PN0064 http://www.modelsport.co.uk/thunder-tiger-starting-set-pro-21-bx-r-p/rc-car-products/14502 if shaft remains in engine an pullstart has a nut/ one way bearing in it then be PN0258 http://www.modelsport.co.uk/thunder-tiger-pull-start-for-pro-21-28bxr/rc-car-products/24945
  7. found this: .28 EX engine settings Low speed needle clockwsie till stop, back out counter clockwise 3.5-4 turns .28 EX engine Settings High speed needle clockwise till stop, back out counter clockwise 2.5 these settings are very rich. If you are still having trouble starting then adjust clockwise (tighten) by 1 hour increments. 1 hour increments meaning if the screw was a clock with 12 hours, adjust by 1 hour clicks. If any engine isnt starting check the fuel lines for fuel. If not fuel then PRIME the engine. To PRIME the engine cover the intake or exhaust port with finger. Pull cord a couple of times until fuel runs into carb. Then proceed to start. If engine is still not starting check carb opening. Too closed wont start. Too open hard to start and if it does it will be high idle. Adjust the carb opening with the IDLE SCREW. Remember for the IDLE SCREW clockwise is to OPEN. Counterclockwise is to CLOSE. Proper carb opening is usually .8mm or 1mm. If engine still not starting check and re check glow plug and glow plug ignitor to ensure they are working properly. If the pull cord is hard to pull then the engine is flooded. Remove glow plug and dump fuel out or pull cord to pump fuel out. Reinstall glow plug and check above settings. If you are still having trouble starting check your fuel. Is it really old? Recommend to have 20% nitro methane content. If you are still having trouble starting then check for leaks in the fuel lines, Leaks on the cooling head? screws tight? carb is bolted down tightlly?
  8. interesting will keep eye on it do fancy a 1/8, has it been used in neo rounds etc?
  9. the crystals are matching so that ain't the problem, put the top one in rx & plain one go into handset, car looks like got wet at some time an been left wet so rx could be damaged but the battery holder looks in bad order rusty so that would hamper power, try another battery holder or a sealed pack first standard holder: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RC-4-x-AA-Battery-Holder-Futaba-Plug-Receiver-Cars-Planes-Boats-UK-/230717619591?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item35b7d77d87 far better to use but need a charger http://www.modelsport.co.uk/overlander-premium-sport-6v-1600-rx-hump-pack/rc-car-products/39684 http://www.modelsport.co.uk/ansmann-racing-powerjack-gp-multi-charger/rc-car-products/29074 wall charger http://www.modelsport.co.uk/ansmann-racing-powerjack-gp-multi-charger/rc-car-products/29074 upgrade radio to 2.4 no more stress with xtals http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HK-310-3-Channel-2-4ghz-FHSS-Transmitter-Receiver-/120844528543?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item1c22e52b9f#ht_667wt_1316
