  1. +1 on the Alturn, great servo for the price.
  2. cheers for the link,i'll have a look through.
  3. cheers for the advice, most of the racers at the club are using Losi's, I totally see what your saying and agree with it, but its also partly about me wanting a new toy to play with!! I like the look of the Losi and the Hyper Star/9(is there a difference apart from the Star being a kit?), I can pick up a Hyper Star for
  4. cheers, thats what ive read about the Losi, good handling. Im swinging towards the Losi, whichever I decide on its just a matter of finding a decent second hand one,as
  5. Had my Hyper 7 for a few months now and Im thinking of getting a more 'serious' buggy. Im thinking of joining my local club which races on an astroturf track. The 2 choices im down to are the Losi 8 and the Hyper 9/star. Ill be keeping my radio gear/engine. Which one would you guys recommend? Cheers.
  6. cover the exaust,careful though,it gets hot!
  7. I just switched to Optifuel Race from Byrons(due to the cost),and find it runs great, just like the Byrons, only a lot more smokey.
  8. try priming it by putting your finger over the exhaust while turning the engine over to get some fuel into the engine.
  9. Well if he says it then cool, at least you can return it if its not. Just not sure why it would have a failsafe when 2.4's come with them built in, and it seems hes trying to pull a flanker with the ambiguous descriptions. Just be careful, a mate of mine bought a Hyper 7 that turned out to be an Inferno 7.5.
  10. dont think its a 2.4 system,its got a failsafe,which surely means that its not 2.4?
  11. 6v battery pack and 7.5 hinge pins (although you probably wont break any once you get your Tbones fitted!)
  12. +1 on the Nanda's they are the best tyres Ive used. I too didnt like the look of dish wheels but I've totally changed my opinion, when mine *eventually* wear out I'll be getting another set.
  13. I find Os8's to work great.
  14. As already said the hinge pins would be a worthwhile investment and the ST shock towers are also a great upgrade. Ive also invested in a CNC rear chassis brace as I snapped 2 of the standard ones in 2 outings. Ive put Kyosho big bore shocks on mine and they seem to work much better than the standard ones. A 6v hump or stick pack is also an essential.
