  1. Get on to Craig and buy his, its not like he uses it
  2. Have you broken the engine in at all? You should be doing that prior to going at any quarter throttle.
  3. I run the MP9 TKI3 kit and think its a fantastic bit of kit. Feels a bit heavier and wider than some buggies out there, more like a D8 12, but it really is planted. My lap times started dropping when I switched from the Losi to this. It strangely feels slower though, but handles so much easier. Also, if you break any parts, which seem to be a struggle to do (I have only broken 1 front arm so far) then you can always upgrade to the hop up parts
  4. Seriously, buy nothing until you go along and speak to the folks there. I have made that mistake before and it ends up costly
  5. Whilst back in the old days there were folk there every weekend running electric, nitro and petrol. Never heard of a single complaint then. I know a couple of the people that stay opposite the track and they have never heard it, never even knew we were up there until they went for a walk. The only bother I ever heard was when folk were wanting to use it for BMX's and there were cars on
  6. Sab had been looking to get himself a basher, but think he has changed his mind again
  7. Looking at the ad, seen it says Robert as the contact, I would go with that That boy must have bought/sold more RC cars than Modelsport
  8. I am a pretty s**t driver, but even I dont need that many shells (hopefully )
  9. Thats the Losi buggies sold, now have 200 bangers sitting in paypal. So tempted to buy something but trying to be a good boy and cut down on the RC spending this month. Maybe just a new shell and a couple of clutches for me
  10. Aye he does, but Robert need sot find some bargain baja's as for the amount of use they would get I cant see any of us spending too much on them
  11. Thats ok as I am skint just now after buying my latest buggy. So it will be a good few months for me, so I would think he would have bought and sold a couple by then
  12. Yeah your right, I just thought after having what must be almost every car/boat/plane on the market he must have settled for one by now. He always seems to come back to a nitro buggy or slash though Even for crawlers it was only a few months ago that he was talking about selling them as well, at least he kept them though. I fancy a baja at some point in the future, so he will need to get one of them in a few months so I can buy it off him when he is bored of it
  13. Boat again? Didnt he get bored of the boats last time
  14. That boy must have had more RC's than I have had hot dinners. Always the same though, he always sells stuff when I am skint What's he buying now?
  15. I think people get a bit confused with racing, either that or most racers I know are doing it wrong. For me racing is fun and lets off some steam. I understand it may not be for everyone, but the way some folk talk you would think racing isnt fun, if thats the case I would have stopped ages ago and went back to bashing. I do enjoy a bash, but for me it was at its best in the days when we got Nino's bag of tricks and set up a track with the rope and added a few home made jumps in. Then get a few wee mini races on the go, seeing a baja land on top of my hyper was impressive, but just to go up and down straights does nothing for me, I like a wee competitive edge to the bash. Gets the banter flowing well, when someones bins it on the last jump and you trickle past for the win. I am pretty sure the 1/5 scale track at Ayr is closed, thats certainly what I heard a while ago. Nobody ever turned up so the club shut up shop. (although thats only what I heard, but I did hear it from a few folk). Plus the track was supposed to be flat, pretty much pancake like. Will be good to see a new track up and running though, as I have had an urge to get the bandit or monster truck out a few times when I havent made the trip to CSOR, but those weekends always seemed to have been crawl weekends.
  16. Hope this really works for you guys, it would be awesome to have another permanent rc track in Scotland. For a country this size to only have one track is pretty shocking. Do you have plans to start racing, or is it a bashing only track? Dirt or astro? Membership/pay to play?
  17. I reckon with having so may 1/5 scale Uncle Nino's suggestion of a hose pipe may be the best option, as the cable ducting used at race tracks gets damaged pretty bad over time with 1/8 scale so I would hate to think what the big boys would do to it. Plus its not something you can really wrap up and transport where as the hose shouldnt be too bad.
  18. Thats been in production for years, just never materialised yet. Worringly for them, Losi has went about it quietly and just released a petrol 1/8
